We've had a James K. Polk Hawke, and my office mate assures me that an Obama Hawke and a Clinton Hawke are both possible. so even if you can't do it in the demo, you can do it in the full game. Enjoy, folks!XX55XX wrote...
WTF? No character creator? I actually want to make a Barack Obama Hawke before I get the full game.
Well, another reason to buy DA2
This is a really quick attempt:
I'm sure with some dedication you can do even better!

I'm not sure if I'm frightened or amused.
I would also like to know if there are going to be more tattoo/hairstyles than in the original.

I wish Obama could take some time off his presidential duties to do a celebrity voice-over in DA2.

I think Obama would be a very weak Champion... very scared of what the right-wing Chantry has to say about things...

Obama's a politician, not a champion. Come on, the guy graduated from Columbia and Harvard Law, taught as a law professor for several years, you really expect someone like to thump podiums and slam stuff down people's throats? Don't think so.
But, in our epic fantasies, Obama will be a champion...

Does anyone know if, once the player finishes the demo (prologue) for Dragon Age 2, if we will have to play through it again once the full game is released?
(Or would it be similar to the Character Creation for Dragon Age 1, where you could import your character into the full game---in this case, import your progress in the prologue to the full game of Dragon Age 2.)

I apologize if this was already answered, but 20 pages is a lot to read through and I didn't see anything on the first page.

There is no character creator in the demo. And I doubt save games from the demo will transfer into the full game.

Q: Does the demo allow you to just start the full version of DA2 from where the demo leaves off?
A: No.
The demo begins with the beginning of Dragon Age II and then shows you a
glimpse of a mission that occurs later on in the game.

Though I do like this trend of unlocking a DLC item via completing a demo. I tend to play and complete demos just cause I like to try the games out (even if I already have them pre-ordered) so that's fun to get something extra for no good reason.

(What I meant by the character creator was not the creator itself, but rather how yo were able to import the character you made into the full game once it was released.)
I guess we'll just have to play through the prologue twice, although I won't have any problems with that.

There wont be saved games or 'character creator'. Its a Demo, like all other demos.
People are probably asking since, IIRC, the Mass Effect 2 demo had those features.

BioWare could always do something similar to what was done for the Dead Space 2 demo, have part of the game that's similar to what actually happens in the full game, yet completely different at the same time.Icycle1933 wrote...

They could easilly explain this by saying it was/wasn't an exaggeration
Who knows

He would hand over Ferelden to the darkspawn and call it bipartisanship. j/k :innocent:

Eidos pulled a stunt like that with Mafia II, it did not go down well with the fans, the demo ends on a bridge with the protagonist and friends in a car surrounded by cops, leaving the fans wanting more and wondering how their hero was going to get out of that situation, when the full game released and players got to the bridge during the chase....nothing, no cop cars blocking the way, no cops with shotguns aiming at them, as you can imagine there was a lot of dissapointment, my take, if it's not in the game don't put it in the demo, because no matter which way you look at it, it's false advertizement.BTCentral wrote...

Anytime a demo is doing something crazier then whats in the actual game - something is horribly wrong. Needs to be the other way around.
