thanks for the answer
No, you can't create a character in the demo. But you can in the full version.

And it's for gold only on the Xbox 360? So....free, but not free. Uncool, uncool.

I was a bit miffed when I first heard that. Luckily, my brother has a voucher thingy for 48 hours of gold membership, and he gave it to me, so I don't have to pay. Would be better if it was just free though.

You can only create your own hawke in the final version of the game (the one you buy). Also, you can import your saved game from origins into the final game (not the demo).
and no, you can't import a savegame from the demo into DAII, because it's only a standalone demo. you play the prelude of the game and then a mission from later on.

Is it still okay to discuss the pulled Gamestop demo here or will we be banned?

Zero to none, BioWare has decided to delay the GameStop demo, so everyone will be getting it on the 22nd.

So what is the GameStop demo now if they get it on the same day as us? What is the access code good for then?Refara wrote...

It would be, but it's nothing to count on. Pulling the gamestop demo is going to do absolutely nothing in terms of pirated sales (demo or full game), and is only going to lead to disappointment from gamestop employees, rather than curbing DA2 leakage. Too bad.CheesecakeRecipe wrote...

Pretty much nothing. So much for "Showing Appreciation", no matter what everyone's individual feelings on gamestop employees are. I guess they have reason for wanting to hold the demo back, seeing as it would expand beyond its intended audience instantly. But wouldn't a better way to treat the situation be to distribute the PC demo earlier than the console versions, so that less people are let down on the 11th?
