Hello,

I am Brazilian and I bought a version of the game here in my country in a reliable store, I'm having problems with the message of the title.
I used other codes that came on the packaging of the game, but only the code that enables the other additional content that is not being accepted, resulting in the message "Code not recognized. "
My version is recorded in my account at Bioware, but the error continues and the game is installed as additional content not authorized.
I came into contact with EA, but I wonder if anyone had trouble report.

Thanks.

You might try it without the - in the code. Seems to have worked with some people. If it has no - in it, add them after every 4 chars. Not sure if this will help, but could be a solution.

Im having the same problem, cant find a solution! Please could anyone help?

I bought the Ultimate Edition version, with all expansions. Everything is already installed, but the expansions are "unauthorized".

I try to use the redeem code and the site says "Code not recognized, please check that you have entered it correctly".

(Its not a typo. I already used caps, no caps, 5 for S, "-", everything)

Hi,

EA responded as follows:

"Hi Dhata,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us again regarding your Dragon Age: Origins purchase. It is always a pleasure to assist our customers in any way that we can.

I'm sorry to hear you are still experiencing difficulties, and apologize for any inconvenience. This happens when an account which does have access to these items downloads them at any point, and another account logs in (which does not have these entitlements. http://help.dragonag...etail/a_id/218/).

If you are logged into the same account, then in order to resolve your issue you need to follow the below given steps:

- Shut down Dragon Age: Origins
- In Windows, press the 'Start' button and select 'Run'
- In the command line type 'net stop DAUpdaterSvc'
- Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings' and delete 'Manifest.xml' and 'Offers.xml'and 'addins.xml'
- Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\bioware\\\\Dragon Age' and delete the 'Offers' folder
- Navigate to 'C:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\All Users\\\\Application Data\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\' and delete the 'DAUpdater' folder
- Navigate to 'C:\\\\My Documents\\\\bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\' and delete the 'AddIns' folder
- In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'
- Restart Dragon Age: Origins and log in

For Windows Vista/Windows 7 - C:\\Users\\All Users\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\

- Navigate to 'C:\\My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\' and delete the 'AddIns' folder
- In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'
- Restart Dragon Age: origins and log in

This does not impact saved games. This only deletes all DLC from the system so you may download the content again.

However, as you are playing Dragon Age: Origins on the PC, please refer to this FAQ and perhaps it will apply to your situation:
http://help.dragonag...etail/a_id/2247

If you have not yet patched the game to the latest version, then we would advise you to download and run the latest patch for the game. You can find the information about the game patches at the below given link: -

http://help.eastore..../detail/a_id/36

Once you have patched the game, try and run the game and see if the issue is resolved. If the issue continues, then we would suggest you to uninstall and re-install the game.

To un-install the game, re-start the game and from the Game Launcher, click on the Uninstall button. You will be asked to confirm the un-installation of the game, click "Yes". Make sure that on the next screen before clicking "Next", you check the "Keep Save Games" check box, if you don't wish to lose your game progress.

Once you have uninstalled the game completely, re-install the game and see if the issue still persists. However, unauthorized content is a common problem, usually caused the Dragon Age Origins Content Updater service not starting automatically.

Try manually starting the service, before you start the game, to see if this resolves your issues.

1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER

2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.

3.) Right click it and select START

If the problem still persists, then please simply run the game in admin mode.

To resolve your issue you need to follow the below given steps:

1. Please check for the Dragon Age updater service. You can access it using Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services. (Another method is to click on the start menu, write "services" in the search box)

2. You find the service there, right click on it, choose properties. "Start" the service if it is not started. Then set the startup type to "automatic".

3. Do not start the game using Steam. Instead navigate to the "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age origins\\bin_ship" directory. You see the file DAOrigins. Right click on it, choose "Run as Administrator".

4. Go to downloadable content menu, dlcs are being downloaded there.

If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know. Additional support can be found on our help site located at http://dragonage.bioware.com/.

Sincerely,
Vincent

anyone who still remembers their ways around the Dragon Age: Origin's puzzling DLC authorization, please enlighten me :

-I bought this Dragon Age: Origin ULTI-Edition not too long ago (1-3 days ago)
-I was a giddy and stuff' (Kinda private)
-I tried to install it, got the Codes and everything
-I wrote the code on the back of a little grey booklet
-I got directed to somewhere "http://social.biowar...dlcactivate/en"
-I wrote the codes of the "UNLOCK ALL THE ADDITIONAL CONTENT PACKS" something 16 lettered
-AND IT ALL WENT TO HELL, IT SAYS "Unable to redeem code.
That code has already been used, and cannot be redeemed again."
-I looked up at a few DAO forums (Some offical, some not) and they can't cook up any great
ideas (Other than cracking the game <This serve as my desperate trump card, I rather not waste my money>, buying a whole new one, asking for a new code, tweaking)

ANY suggestions please? If I offended you i m sorry, I simply have been craving for this game for Three years, (Myanmar is alittle.. blocked) and I don't want to exclusively go to singapore and buy this, but now I have this little red box with my favorite game in it. So *please* bear it with me and help?

Maybe you successfully activated it and don't realise.  This site is notorious I think.  Check on http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php for what you do and don't have.

If you really don't have the DLC you should have, only EA can help you.  Clicking the link above will only help if you are logged in here with the correct account and registered game.  I see you have not registered the game.  You do have a genuine legal copy don't you?

If I have misunderstood completely and you have a problem with your CD-key (not the redeemable code for DLC), the answer is still the same: only EA, not Bioware here, can help with either type of code.
