There is no way I'm going to play the demo.  It's like having a bite of Pizza during the superbowl and then having some punk say,"NO NO NO, 2 more weeks"

I already have my pre-order.

Well, the demo doesn't really matter to me. I already know that I don't like most of the changes, but I also know that I want to know the story and how the world changes in DA2, so I'll be buying it regardless. How much the story makes up for the dialogue wheel/voiced PC and a graphic style I find very unappealing will determine whether I but a DA3, but I've already decided to buy DA2.

Now if there was some version of the Character Creator like they had for Origins, I might play with that...

I was all for it before, but now I hear it`s the whole prologue and you go to Kirkwall and meet isabela for the first time. Seems like too much (for me) so I`ll probably just avoid it.

Mainly to get a feel of how the game plays early, and for the supposed promotional sword you get for playing it. Can't go without Promotional Item #102 after all

I want to play with the character creator so I will download the demo. If the demo is the tutorial and you can later "upgrade" to the release then I might play the demo as well. It will also depend upon how much time my wife gives me (mostly I play when she's traveling for her job)

If I get too many promotional items I`ll never be using the items in the actual game.

To extend your simile, it's more like having a few bites of pizza before having the rest taken away - however, you get the opportunity to regurgitate your bites of pizza and eat them again*. It will look and taste exactly the same as it did before, but you will know that you've already eaten it.

I'll be playing the demo.

*but you can change the toppings!

On the one hand I don't want to play twenty minutes of the game and then have to wait two weeks for the rest of it, on the other I know I'm not going to be able to stop myself...

So, I'm probably going to give in and download it as soon as it becomes available.

I don't do demos, so count me out. I've had a bit too much "spoiled" for me already. I can wait a few more weeks. I'm also on the box so if it's PC exclusive...yeah.

For some reason, I can't get the image of Cartman waiting outside the shop months before the release of the PSP (or whatever it was in that episode) out of my head.

If there is a character creator that allows you to import in to the game I will definitely download it. If not, then I'm not sure. It would depend on what's involved and how long it is. I don't want to know much more about the beginning of the game than I do already.

Yep, I agree about the character creator.  If I have to play the default, then I'll just suck it up and wait.

OR if we haven't heard Lady Hawke's voice by then.  Those 2 things may tempt me into playing the demo.
