Why not consider it the start of your first playthrough, then it might build up antisipation for March 8th.

but I thought mages can only use a staff in DA2 (separation and distinction of classes etc.). Has it even been confirmed that AW (or equivalent) will be in DA2 as a specialization?

Or could it be something akin to a Templar ... a specialization that might use mana for their specialized skills in contrast to pure mages.

What has being "loyal" to do with not being able to play the demo? As with anything else it is your decision to play the demo or not and with any decision (after all it is a dark fantasy world) comes consequences.

Beside "loyal" fans already got tons of stuff for free ... assuming that those "loyal" fans pre-ordered the Signature
edition of course. Calling that B.S. over 1 item seems to be waaaay over the top. An item that you probably either have to buy in-game or one that will be out levelled fairly quickly. So I’d assume these items have as ever a very limited life-span and then become mainly “collectors” items.


I haven‘t pre-ordered the signature edition and as a consequence I won’t be getting the tons of bonuses from the Sig. Edition or I need to buy them if I so chose to buy the game.<_<

Err... can I play the demo after the full game, and then unlock the blade for future playthroughs? Seriously, I don't wan't to play the demo before I get my hands on the whole thing.

In my case the demo is the only thing that might change my mind at this point about the game and put it back on the "might purchase pile". Currently DA2 sits in the "ignore" pile even though I loved DA:O.

Why would it be spoiler? You are still playing the game. It is not like it has information you gleamed from sources other than personal experience. That is what spoilers mean.

im going to play the demo til my fingers bleed. i wan tto jump into the game on nightmare so i need as much practice as possible. unfortunately im a gamer that has to start at skill 0 at every game.

I don't want to play the demo because I don't want to it to spoil the game for me. Yes, I am watching all the video content that gets posted, but I think that's different then actually having the experience of playing it for yourself.

I know that if I get the demo I won't be so excited for the game when I do get it and I won't enjoy it as much. I have a history of spoiling myself (reading ends of books, flipping ahead to "just look at pictures in comicbooks, going online and reading spoilers...) and I always regret it. I keep resolving to stop and here is my redeeming chance

Where was is said/posted that it doesn't have the CC? Anybody know the link, I can't find it. I'm pretty sure it does... most RPG demos contain a CC... what's the point otherwise??

Right here:

2 - Is there a character creator with the demo or do we play default Hawke?
No. While you can modify your character in the main game, this is disabled in the demo
