I'll definately be playing the demo before I commit to this game.
there are too many changes...too much I do not like the sound of..but am willing to give a chance.
that chance will NOT be given if I don't sample it first..I won't pluck down $60+ when most of what I'm hearing I'm not real thrilled about.
If we had no demo I'd be waiting to read A LOT about the game mechanics and see some non-spoilerish gameplay demo's n whatnot before I made a final decision
the demo, on the other hand, has the potential to make me a day 1 purchaser (which I was for DA:O)...so yah...as I said...with all the dumbing down it sounds like may be goin on there's no way in HELL i'm not going to play the demo before I buy it.

I'm downloading it immediately. I've been waiting for this for months, to see if it's what I want (more DA:O, not DA:A).
Not buying until then.

I will play the demo, I haven't pre-order or anything.
Oh and BTW:
"Dragon Age players, this is your call to arms! We need one million players of the Dragon Age 2 demo and we want you to rally the troops to reach this monumental goal. Tell your friends, tell your family, talk about it on Facebook, Twitter, talk about it at school and at work. We want One Million downloads of the Dragon Age 2 demo and we need you to rally the troops to reach this goal.
If we reach One Million downloads, we will reward players with 2 new in-game items the Lothering’s Lament and Far Cliffs of Kirkwall tomes. And don’t forget, anyone who completes the demo will get the in-game item Hayden’s Razor. All 3 items will be available on all platforms for Dragon Age 2.
We need you to rally your troops and heed this call to arms!"
Just so You know!

The demo comes too late. What's the point of spoiler is when you can just quietly wait two weeks ?
But I hadn't read this message, it will perhaps make me reconsider my decision. Thank you.

Just play the demo on like the Monday before game launches (On Tuesday) so you don't have to wait 2 weeks... Thats what I'm doing...

I won't even install the demo until after I've played the actual game. But I will get the demo.

So how do you get the item in Dragon Age II? Is it something linked to your EA account that you can download later?

The demo is worth checking out because the combat system has been drastically changed. I don't regret playing the demo as this can be treated as a warm up tutorial for the actual game. In addition, you get the nifty Hayden's Rayzor upon completion!

Holy crap. And to think I was gonna skip finishing it to preserve the story. Thank you =)

How to do you know if you unlocked it? Do you have to loot his body?
Every time I kill him it skips to the cut scene.

Check your registered game promotions. (left side: Profile-Registered Game Promotions). It should show up there. If it's not, pm Chris.

I could care less about getting an OP DLC weapon, frankly. I'd rather have an enjoyable first run through without having to compare notes between the release build and the demo build.

I was going to skip this. then changed my mind. I honestly didn't see Bioware giving away what we didn't know already, so I figured it couldn't hurt.
It was pretty cool. I look forward to the game. I just wish I was in town next week to actually play it. I'll just play it the following week.
Now beta's. I won't do beta's anymore. They spoil everything.

Must wait until tomorrow to be able to download demo....
I shall play through the demo at least 3 times, all classes to get a feel for the combat.

I will. I Have, And it is awesome with maxed settings. New combat moves are pretty sick to watch.
For those of you who don't want to "spoil it".
What? its the prologue? are you gonna play through the game in one sitting when you finally get it? (if you do, fair enough but you'll be really freaking tired and wont enjoy it as much anyway)

in all honesty i wish i skipped the demo, ever since ive played it i've lost all excitement. I tried playing for a second time yesterday and ended up just turning it off after the 2nd ogre fight. Im keeping my preorder like i've saidion other threads but BOOOY i cant get over how bad the combat is. The graphics dont bother me too much i've come to expect that from the forst dragon age.
I really hope that the story becomes engaging and the characters are engaging enough for me to care about them. because from the demo i really didnt care who died and who survived.

I already played it through and liked what I saw. Of course, I never expect much from a demo, just a flavor of the game.
