no actually. mages can only use staffs. just so happens that at least one (i'm hoping more) of those staffs has a blade on the end of it.

I problaby won't bother with the demo, would rather wait until I can have the whole game, especially as there aren't all the different choices for racial origins - if that was the case and it was one of 6 possibilities I probably would play it.

Very likely. Hayden's Razor will probably be available for direct download eventually as the Lucky Stone and Journeys items were. Since I am unlikely to play a character that can make use of it, there is no incentive to spoil the opening act with this demo. I might relent if we can fiddle with character creation. Otherwise there is no point.

Actually, it adds both stamina or mana

Actually, in WoW, mages can use swords and daggers+off hand items. And stats wise it is a better solution than the staff.

 I'm going to play the demo as soon as I can. I really want a chance to look at the skill trees for the warrior. Also a chance to mess around with a character creator it always a plus. GIMMIE MAH FREE SWORD!  hahaha

Make sure you finish it before march 31st. That's the cutoff to get the item.

I'm probably going to run through it myself with all 6 options just so I can figure out which I want to do when the game officially comes out.

if peoples don't want to get spoiled by the prologue, note that the offer end March 31th. so you may play the demo AFTER you did this part in your real game and receive your loot.
