Do like I said... you have until Marth 31 to loot the item in the demo, meaning you can begin the game, do this part and then GO TO the demo, end it and loot the razor.

What if I do not care about the item? I plan to use either an archer rogue or mage my first playthrough. If I decide to play again it will probably be with the opposite class. Either way I will have no use for this sword. Okay, I could technically hand if off to a party member. Still, chances are the weapon will be replaced by midgame gear. The time I spend playing the demo will be time wasted. I know that sounds very picky, but I have very little spare time as is lately. It seems like a poor use of it just for a trinket.

I'm absolutely playing the demo! I've never been one for demos before, but the lack of info regarding DAII has put me on the fence about buying the game (and I mean videos showcasing the changes that have been made...That combat video was hardly anything). Glad we'll finally be able to see for ourselves how the changes have panned out. Although, I wonder if we have a choice of difficulty for the demo? I'm not sure how this normally works...

Maybe mana and stamina are simply treated as single resource in DA2, given a character can only ever use one of them.

Exactly, that's what has put me off too. 

In all fairness, we don't actually knwo how long the Prologue is. If we judge by the playable demo last year, people were given 10-15 mins to play and often managed to get to the end of it, even if that was skipping all/most of the dialogue. The demo proably won't be longer than an hour, really.

Why shouldn't I play it? It's the Prologue of DA2 - how can the "real deal" spoil anything? If anything it'll build up my anticipation.

I always play demos. How else do I familiarize myself with the game's combat system, or whatnot? If the demo consists of only a character creator, I think I'll just be as content. Either way, I'll still get the game.

Because the mana/stamina stats are linked. There were items in Origins that added xy amount to mana/stamina regeneration.

It's questions like these that really just boggle my mind at times. I see no reason not to play it when it comes out. Plus I don't see it as much of a spoiler to be honest.

I don't get how the prologue would be a spoiler exactly? It's the start of the game isn't it? You'll be playing the exact same thing as on release day only you can do it sooner. Or maybe I'm misunderstaning how the demo works???



I'm not much for demos usually but I'll probably play it just to see how the game looks like and because I won't be able to play the game when it comes out because I need to study:(

I'm worried about how the PC version is with all the changes they've made, but I don't want to spoil myself too much. Having seen just how much of the main game will be present in the demo, I'll likely only play up until the CC. Of course, if we don't get the CC, then I'll only play long enough to get a feel for how the PC version plays.
