I have a question. How do we receive the code for the Hayders Razor? There's a lot of ways I could ask that but the basic of my intent is since I don't want the demo on my computer's harddrive, If I beat the demo on the xbox will it still show up on the BSN allowing me to get it on the PC version that I have pre-ordered? Do we get a unique code after we beat it or something to put into the BSN?

I thought it was when we finished it, just like how we could get certain items for doing certain things in witch hunt, or Lellianas song. Once we did them it became part of our account.

Damn that Hayders Razor, my laptop won't be able to cope with minimum settings yet a PC upgrade for me is still far away, I need to be able to play/complete it to get the item for when I get a new PC to implement into the full version.

Well I'll try it.

I believe you can get the Razor at any point up until may 31st, so if your upgrade is before then you should be fine.

BioWare and the Dragon Age 2 team are very pleased to announce the public demo for Dragon Age II, coming February 22 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

In the demo, players will venture through the game’s prologue, choosing from three different character classes. They’ll also learn more about Hawke and hone their skills and abilities that will make them the ultimate hero. After finishing the prologue, players will enter a key new location in the world of Dragon Age, Kirkwall, befriending Isabela, a romantic interest in the game who is also a deadly smuggler. Upon completion of the demo, players will unlock a special weapon, Hayder’s Razor, an ancient dwarven blade which increases health, mana, and combat abilities, in the full release of Dragon Age II.

Edit: Adding some answers to frequently asked questions

1 - Can we import from Origins into this demo?

• The demo does not have a character or save game import feature.

2 - Is there a character creator with the demo or do we play default Hawke?

• No. While you can modify your character in the main game, this is disabled in the demo

3 - Does the demo allow you to just start the full version of DA2 from where the demo leaves off?

• No. The demo begins with the beginning of Dragon Age II and then shows you a glimpse of a mission that occurs later on in the game.

4 - Will it show off DX11 effects on the PC?

• DX11 features will only be available on the PC purchase copy of Dragon Age 2.

5 - Can we play Male and Female Hawke?

• Yes you can choose male or female Hawke.

6 - How do I get the demo for my Xbox 360 or my PS3?

• The xbox 360 demo will be available through Live. The PS3 demo will be available through Playstation Home.

So the xbox demo will be on xbox live and ps3 demo will be on the playstation network. Question, where do we get the PC demo? Will be on the DA site?

No it isn't, you people are crazy.

*chuckles*   I go away for a few months and then all kinds of things Dragon Agish start happening.   Happy about the demo, happy about Legends..and very happy about DA 2.   Oh and my brand new 'puter that will very definitely handle anything Direct X 11 can throw at it...along with a large LARGE harddrive to accomodate anything Biowarian to come in the future.   Think one Terabyte will be enuff?

That's probably a fair assessment. Though ti will depend on DX11, which I don't think is in with the demo.
