Alright, so we are indeed obtaining a demo before the game comes out. By my ancestors that is great news indeed!



However, this demo will let us also obtain this dwarven weapon in the actual game....I am scared for the amount of inventory space I have on my character at the beginning. To date I shall have: Staff of Parlathan, Ser Isaac's Armor Set (all pieces of course), Hindsight, All Signiture Edition Items (5 items), Fadeshear and Shield of Orleis, DA:L items (all of them), and this new dagger.



My character is going to be wearing about 700 pounds of equipment while running away from Lothering, not something you can really get into.



I think that the sibling who dies is not because he/she is of the opposite class as my Hawke, but because he/she happened to be stuck carrying all the gear around.

LOL! You're probably right there. That said, we don't actually know how all the promo items will be integrated into the game. Its possible you might only get them once arriving in Kirkwall (unlikely though, if possible). in that case, scaping Lothering won't be an issue.

But to be honest, they'll probably just spawn in your inventory.

Demo item is added to your account on completion of the demo - so you'll want to be logged in at the time on one of your playthroughs. You can then verify it on your registered promos page here on social. If you see it there, then there is no time limit from that point until whenever you decide to log in to DA2, you'll get the item. No code is given/needed.



Promo items appear at your 'home location' in Kirkwall in a chest dedicated for these.

I heard that Xbox live silver subscribers will not get the demo until a week later then the date posted. Is this true?

The fine print says you have to log into your EA account to unlock the weapon, and also register your full game with, therefore, I think if you do that both on PC and Xbox (as I have heard you can), should work? I can't say for sure though.

Even if it doesn't work it'll be interesting to see how the game plays on the PC before my Xbox copy arrives.

I PMed one of the moderators about this already, but there is AT LEAST one guy in ebay thats selling a PC Demo code for DA2...

That should show to whomever took the decision of giving away those codes to people who didnt want it or requested in the first place (Gamestop employees); that was due to happen, unfortunately.

I'll be clear; profiting off a thing that would be accesible to everybody in a couple of weeks and you got for free is the epitome of being a first rate douchebag.

Can Bioware make at least an attempt to block this person's account in ebay? Isnt that a form of software-piracy?

Why are you hurt over this? You'll get the free demo ANYWAY. Sure he may be profitting, but he will make someone very happy at the same time.

Again what does it matter to you? Someone will be happy he sold it to them?
You're gonna get the demo anyway, if someone is dedicated enough that they want to buy a DEMO 10 days before it becomes free, I say let them.

I would never pay a lot for this, but I bought a Starcraft 2 beta ticket from Blizzcon, that cost me 80 bux, it was worth it if you compare how many hours I played the beta, and how many hours I play many 60 bux games.

I asked this question a few pages back. Don't think I got a reply. Asked a friend and he said that he had never experienced recieving a DLC a week after others just because of having a silver account. Would really prefer not to go gold with it.

He's probably just the seller Joe. That demo just got it's first bid in a day and a half, coincidence? I think not! Good way to drives sales by advertising on the BSN.

Awesome! Though, thinking about it, I dunno if that really makes sense with regards to the Staff of Parthalan .

Regardless, thsi is a better system than in Origins. I suppose that was a result of no storage chest in default game + only getting to camp (the most logical place for it to have been, gameplay wise) after Lothering, a good few hours in.

If you got jailbroken PS3 you can download the demo off the internet if that is gonna be the case.
