I believe it's for the potions health/mana/stamina at least that seems the most feasible reason given as to why you can still loot.

The demo was clearly a teaser to get people experiencing the new combat system (which rocks, imho) and the updated ME-style conversations.  It's a close call but I give the slight edge to Mages over Rogues for most-improved combat-enjoyment.  Both were a lot of fun (with the vanilla fighter also enjoyable) but the Mage is just such a great improvement.

Origins was a really fun game but the combat seemed to get in the way sometimes because it was clunky and awkward.  DA:2's combat is already leagues better therefore far more likely to add enjoyment to the overall game.

I have a question.



I've run out of room in my hard drive and I want make space for it. If I were to delete my demo, instead of transfering it, would I still be eligible for the gifts that I gain for completing it?

I can't see what i'm doing sometimes, especially when using special powers or charging the enemy. It's all just a bit fast paced for my liking, the laws of physics should be a bit more realistic.



Also, I think when making a sequel, core elements should not be changed, mainly the darkspawn. It's set in the same time-line as Origins, but these Hurlocks are too different from Origins and they don't look as intimidating. In fact, to me they look a little like Scorpious from the science fiction series Farscape!



If this were a stand-alone game this would make for an awesome game. I do look forward for its release and i'm sure I'll love playing it over and over again, but because it's a sequel, it should have stuck to the roots of Origins more. Refine the graphics for sure but, it would be like if they released Mass Effect 2, and decided to make the Asari purple instead of blue and Turians with smoother skin. Changing characters drastically from the original wouldn't go down well if they did that to Mass Effect so I think the same can be said about the darkspawn.

Im sure once you unlock it it will stay in your unlocks regardless of whether you keep the demo or not.

decided to make the Asari purple.

There are some purple, and even cyan (almost green asari)

I also noticed that in the speed up scene it always makes you a Mage even if you're a different class.



Bioware is REALLY pushing Hawke Mage as the Default/Canon choice for later entries into the series. >_>

If you go to the options list beneath your avatar in the top left of screen choose "Profile > Your registered Game Promotions." it will take you to all the availiable Downloadable content you have, check to see if Hayder's Razor is on the list (which if you completed the demo whilst conected to your EA account, it should be) then you won't need the demo furthermore unless you wish to replay it.

The Ogre battle is easy.

Have your Tank(Aveline) only put Constitution. Than have your Melee stay behind the Ogre and occassionally smack any Darkspawn that attacks your healer. You'll be surprised how easy this boss is.

If you're the tank it's even easier. Simply keep trying to move behind the Ogre and he's stuck in a loop where he will almost never use Charge or Slam because he's trying to get you infront of him.

Anyhow, i think this is rather stupid.  Microsoft will NOT get people to buy their (scam) Xbox Live Gold memberships just becasue they release very few demos for Gold only (and nothing would change if they released all demos for Gold only, cause most people who have silver either a) Do not need it, and/or Thinks it is money grabbing (companies need money, but what microsoft is doing, is too much), scam etc).

loved the demo, you can dominate as a mage if you know how to play it right. Warrior was okay too but, it seems a bit bland when compared to the mage and rogue class.

Anybody know how many times has the demo been downloaded?  Yea the Rogue & Mage class are pretty good.  I wish they would have released the demo sooner.  We could have given additional feedback about the warrior class.

I played through the PC demo last night, and made sure that I was logged in before I started the playthrough. But after looking at my list of Game Promotions, it doesn't look like the freebie item was credited to my account.



Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

just played through the demo on the ps3 as a male warrior, was much easier to beat the ogre this time around(only took 1 try, as a mage took several tries). got the item added to my list for the ps3 as well(tho have pre-ordered the game on the pc), only missing it for the xbox360 but then I don't have an xbox360.



only got the rouge to play through as, play on the pc or the ps3?

Just played through the demo, and I must say.. I loved it!



The new combat style is bloody pro, very nice job guyes.



1 questions though, when I played the DLC for DAO and Awakening, I got an achievement thingie to state that I completed it. But when I finished the demo I got nothing like that :S



Does that mean I wont get the weapon and have to play through it again til something pops up to confirm that I completed it?
