Juhu, these are great news. Sorry for my harsh words two days ago. You are good guys.
Can't wait to play it and receive that sword. Its blade reminds me of the Ashbringer. Looks amazing.

One question: Will there be a German version of the demo or do I have to play in English? I mean, it wouldn't be a problem, cause my understanding of English is pretty well ( not so the writing ), but I'm curious about the German voice actors.

In all seriousness, I really appreciate the demo. It'll be great if we can import our DAO characters and export our progress into the full game, but even if we can't, this will be a great teaser. Can't wait.

but why on earth would it need to give mana? unless it can be equiped by a mage...?

It's not unprecidented in Dragon Age.  Once a warrior equips it, it'll probably increase his stamina.

There is  a mage staff in Awakening  (staff of the lost) that does the same thing.  The item Description says:  +75 stamina.  But when a mage equips it, it gives him +75 mana.

But really.  Who cares?    The  important thing here is that there's a DEMO coming out.   I don't know about you, but a Dwarven sword  will be the last thing on my mind when I'm playing through the prologue of a game I've been waiting for fer months.  And we get to meet Isabella!

You say that like it'd matter to them. How many people will sell their 360s and buy a PS3 because they had to wait a week for DA2?

...okay, I'd seriously consider it, but I'm also a Mass Effect player, ME1 will never come to PS3, and running 2 on my ancient PC isn't really an option.

This is a Seriously good move on you guys' part, Chris.    Because it goes beyond the obvious marketing benefits that are going to be reaped from  the   gamer's word-of-mouth effect.  It will serve a second purpose.  There have been endless criticism/gripes  from the hardcore fans here that we haven't been given enough info about the game.     that the reveals/screenshots/dev diaries have been too few.  We've been info-starved, as it were.   Well, this Demo puts an abrupt end to all that  noise!  FINALLY  you've entered our cage and thrown us a giant slab of meat.

It will become a registered promotion linked to your EA Account, and when you play DA2 with the same account, available to you as a content download.

No offence but I've spent ~2 years being XBL Silver user (with some exceptions during winter/summer breaks when I had lots of free time so it was worth getting Gold) so I'm 100% that Silver users get all DEMOs one week later compared to GOLD users. :-)

And to quote RolandX9 it's highly unlikely you went and bought decent PC or PS3 just for DA2 demo. :-)

oh i know, i've been on xbox live silver since they day they launched 360s, well before they started delaying demos for non-gold subscribers. i wouldn't be surprised if this demo went the same way, i'm just saying i'm not 100% on that. and i doubt anyone will go buy a PC or PS3 just for the demo, i'll most likely just end up getting a 1-month gold subscription to download it.
