Dragon Age Origins is a great game!
But i'm having issues with making a character that really suits my style more or likely.
I have played over 600 hours in DAO but have yet to actually go past the landsmeet.
The thing is i've been pretty far with other characters but i couldn't seem to keep a straight line for making a personality, i've always seem to screw up and i don't like it and delete it again and again (seem to have a problem with this game)

What i want to say is i want to make a War Hungry Evilistic character but i am not so sure wat class to take that would fit that type of character or origin what would be the best for that type, Or some choices or what i should keep in mind while playing that kind of class.

It would be nice if someone could shed some light on this stuff thus helping me deciding stuff.:D

My mage was going to be evil but he ended up good....I think any of them work in theory so long as you#re consistent and don't mind angering your companions. I think any class works again, but a Roguue who goes in for theft and lockpicking seems good, though if you want to go in for war you'd have to manage both types of skills. I've not completed the Dwarf Commonor Origin but it seems the most obvious one in terms of becoming evil due to the rough life the character has led. Or City Elf perhaps .

My evil Warden(s) tend to be Mages, as they are motivated to gain immediate freedom from the Templars, and power. My Warriors tnd towards nobility of character, and my Rogues walk that thin grey line, but stay away from falling completely into darkness.

For my evil playthrough I was thinking of going Dwarf Commoner as that could encourage a rather cynical and mean streak in anyone. Make him a dual-wield Warrior and go Berserker and Reaver. Reaver may not be a lot of use but it fits the character much better than Templar or Champion.

Ok, I have to ask.... 600 hours without finishing even once?

Or is that a typo and it's meant to be 60?

I think you could easily play a character motivated by revenge. More than one origin fits this perfectly.

I still can't get myself to play an "evil" character. I tried recently and failed.

600 might be more actually i spent like mostly a hour in character creation and like what spend 20 hours or so going trough the game and delete it because i thought **** i did something what i didn't like.
Now i just want to make a perfect character for DA2 since it just keeps coming closer and closer.
And 600 hours is nothing i know people who spent like 2000 hours in MHFU for the PSP.:D

Theres many of us with restartitis, I suspect its an incurable condition.

Still every now and again a character just clicks and I care enough about them to actually complete a game with them.

An alternative to the suggestion I made earler might be a human noble who glories in war. Champiom specialisation would fit them fine (and since its the best warrior spec IMO thats no bad thing). Finish it off with berserker or reaver to your taste.

I do the same thing, only I start over sooner. I've created maybe 10-20 characters, but I've only finished twice. The battle at Ostagar is starting to make me sick.

Ok you have a few choices for "Evil Characters" and ill lay some out for you.

-Origin-
Human Noble, more Neutral than anything else.
Dwarf Noble, can be made very Evil, make sure to kill Trian yourself.
City Elf, can be made a very evil murderer.
Dahlish, Neutral/good
Elf Magi, can be racist as a elf and a mage. kinda a jerk
Dwarf Commoner, Murderer
Human Magi, Neutral
I will suggest certain origins for certain builds.

-Warrior-
Simplest is the Evil Overlord build. Which is just a Two-Hand style in heavy armor (Think Sauron from LOTR). Important specs. I suggest Templar/Reaver or Reaver/Templar. We will ignore Berserker and Champion as they are Stamina draining specs and two-hand is all about spamming stam. (Im working on a Berserker Mod that will make it reduce your health instead and boost stam regen).  This is a deadly and evil themed build but really comes into it own in Awakening where you can go Reaver/Templar/Spirit Warrior and not only do huge damage but also get 100% Dodge Rate and 100% Spell Resistance. Truely a Nightmare.
^ I suggest Dwarf Noble, or Dwarf Commoner for the better racials, but City Elf can be more roleplay and story satisfying (Since you can be racist when your a Elf)

-Magi- Always Elf
The standard Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage works fine. Can also be done with a Bloodmage/Spirit Healer or a Dedicated Shapeshifter (Bear/Spider Form always). The Elf origin lets you be mocking and racist as usual but you can also lord your magi power over others. Also alot more options open up as a mage when dealing with demons and you should side with them :)

-Rogue-
Any build really. Str based Duelest/Ranger/Legion Scout probably be the simplest "Thug" type but. You can also build a Cunning based Bard/Assassin/Shadow and do great. Im currnetly experimenting with a roleplay/test build Ranger/Assassin/Shadow build myself.
^ Dwarf Commoner, City Elf are the best synergies I think for a Dark background rogue.

- Evil Party -
Morrigan, Ohgren, Lohgaine. Can also sub in Dog or Shale though they are more nuetral they will still agree with most your evil actions.

-Plotwise-
You can either be evil incarnate or Ruthless.  There are some differances and some options require mods. Like a Blood Mage can actualy kill all the circle and templars and not side with anyone with a certain mod that restores that option.  Ruthless happens to coincide with the True Warden path so i prefer that.
But mainly
make deals with demons and blood mages.
side with werewolves
side with Bhelen/Branka= Ruthless, Harrowmont/Branka=Evil
side with Mages=Ruthless, Side with Templars=Evil, Side with neither= really evil
side with cult of andraste (too many options to get into details) =Ruthless/Evil/Really evil
Anora on throne and spare lohgaine, execute alistair= evil
Anora+Hardend Alistair on Throne, Lohgaine spared=Ruthless (and probably the best outcome)
Do the Dark Ritual (It just opens up so many plot options in the future I dont see why not)
