I probably won't be playing a rogue in any play through because of what we've seen. They've moved rogue away from being a skilled fighter back into more of a typical assassin type role and I hate them removing bard and ranger from the specialisations, they've removed the variety from the class. I can only see myself playing an archer type rogue.

Playing Dragon Age Origins as a Rogue was the best in my opinion. Being a mage was fun, Warrior too, but being a Rogue was definitely my favourite. Rogue's are more on the edge, and I believe is the best class to have for your lead. So Dual Weapons and a Lock Pickin' for me in Dragon Age 2!
lol i currenly playing a Dalish Elf Rogue, so my warden could have something to do with Merril.
Merril: i use to have a crush on a Rogue once.
Hawke:ooo do you still like Rogues?
Merril:Yea kind of <3

I'm really torn between playing a Mage or a Rogue first. Fortunately, since the demo is coming out, I can try both before I actually get the game.
Like peas in a pod, you and I - I love mage and rogue and absolutely can't decide either. It's going to be tough lol
I played warrior in WoW for way too long so the joy/attraction is just not there.
Heh. I just find warriors really boring to play most of the time. I used to play them a lot, but after a while it just got stale. And in DAO you got so many Warriors on your team that if you played as one you were more-or-less reduced to a standard party of Leliana/Zevran, Wynne/Morrigan and another, particularly on higher difficulties. And Zev's lateness coupled with his lack of lockpicking talents made it awkward to use him at times for utility-purposes. Running a Rogue or Mage in Origins meant you could mix-up your party a bit more. The Warrior's lack of utility and interesting tactical abilities (stealth, for example), made them a less rewarding player experience (IMO).
Granted, they seem to have spiced up Warrior (and Rogue) a fair amount, which might make the former less boring (and the latter more awesome). Also, from what we can tell, the amount of party-members of each class is more balanced this time, albeit with a slight abundance of awesome rogues (with the DLC character). The 4 Rogue party is no longer a dream.

Only Mass Effect's Adept has been an exception to this so far. And it only beat Infiltrator by this much.

So, any one else wondering if that dead space 2 heavy armor is going to cause stamina penalty?

I'll play a rogue in my second play, my first is mage for two reasons: AoE, and Carver.
Granted mage looks mighty promising too, but not enough for a first PT as I loathed mages in Origins. But this time around we wont just be shooting roman candles at enemies from afar.
