The future of Liara.. or Miranda!?

In ME1, I chose to fall in love with Liara. I really liked my choice in ME1 but when I discovered there was minimal contact with her in ME2, I became a bit interested in Miranda.
However, when ME3 releases.. I want the option of continueing my relationship with Liara without any hitchs if its available (Which I highly think this option will be available).
I've refined my ME2 character with multiple play-throughs (EXCEPT THE SHADOW BROKER DLC - WHICH I DO PLAN ON GETTING SOON) and I'd like to screw around with Miranda before entering the O4 relay.. But, only if its NOT going to effect future relations with Liara in ME3.
I know no one can predict the future and what lies ahead in ME3.. But I did read that EVEN IF you screw around with Miranda and THEN load the Shadow Broker DLC, you still have the option of reaffirming your relationship with Liara.
What do you think nerds?.. I'd rather snuff Miranda in the end if its going to botch my future relations with Liara in ME3..
Any Suggestions?
Thanks,
Fellow ME Nerd.

You can continue the relationship with her in Shadow.

Reaffirming your relationship with Liara in LotSB doesn't end your romance with Miranda, so chances are you're still "cheating"
You can break up with Miranda after the Suicide Mission, yes but we don't know if that will affect ME3 or not.

If you've done multiple playthroughs already, I simply suggest that you take one and keep Liara as the romance, and do another with Miranda. I did the same with Tali.
Oh, and get LotSB - you will thank yourself if you're a Liara fan. Also, if you do LotSB, you do get "an out" to have another relationship, if you so choose.

If you have the LoTSB DLC (which is worth the money), Liara will comment on how you are with your new LI.

but if you play him as the type to want the relationship to really go somewhere don't even bother with Miranda, she's a tramp (more like high-class hooker that doesn't charge for sex) and can't even have children.

Literally, and depending on interpretation, it's true... but also completely unnecessary.jlb524 wrote...

Triple wow, chicks are harsh lol.
If you really can't decide (like me) just do a playthrough where you don't fool around with anyone. I had Kelly up to the cabin for dinner though...might do another campaign where I don't even do that.

Reading up on some of the other gems you've hatched around here, I've narrowed my reaction down to this:

It was revealed that Miranda had sex with exactly one other person than Shepard. As woman in her 30s she's probably had more than 2 lovers in her lifetime, but we only know about one other than Shepard. I fail to see how that makes the character a 'tramp.'
I don't understand why some gamers want all of Shepard's LIs to be virgins before meeting him. It's unrealistic and boring. I'd rather the characters felt like real people who had a life before Shepard walked into it. With Liara and Tali the ME universe already has one too many virgins.

With Liara your kids will probably be pretty young when Shep's ready to kick the bucket. At least with human babies you might have a chance of being a grandparent. Plus with human babies your kids'll look like mini-Sheps.
Unless you're ugly Shepard in which please for the sake of the eyes of everyone in the galaxy have kids with Liara.

Edit: If Miranda can head a project to bring back someone from the dead, then finding a way to have children should be a piece of cake.

This. And if you're really concerned about kids you'd romance Ash.

Yup. Even if you do have kids with Liara, your family won't be 'normal' by any stretch of the imagination as you will die when your kids are still...kids. You will be long gone and dead before they are old enough to have kids of their own.
If you are serious about Miranda and want kids someday...just adopt.
