why do people feel the need to get everything? It seems exceedingly expensive and comlicated. For me, Im content with just getting what i'll get for preordering a SE from Amazon (US)

Seems so. Still, it's so overboard. Image IPB

The character is what bums me out, not the worthless weapon/armor stuff.

He costs 7 bucks seperate, you can still get him. But once again I say if you're so butthurt over not getting it then hey, should've pre-ordered. <_<

Yeah, its pretty annoying. Gone are the days when a game was developed with all of it's content intended to be there on release. I find it frustrating because I always used to pride myself on discovering and owning all the best items in an rpg, somehow being required to sign up for facebook, play flash games, pre-order from several different locatins has killed that desire.

Notice most games don't have dlc until months after, because they don't need to charge you extra for stuff they've already designed and completed, it's not like the awakening expansion pack, or the shale thing that was simply about time constraints, this however is just milking you for cash.

It is overboard, which is why it's called a disorder.

I find it hard to be excited by the items. I didn't like the way they side stepped the gearing process in Origins, so maybe I'm not looking hard enough at them, but we're seeing them without any real context. What effect will this fictional belt have upon my experience? I like the look of that shield (I'm a shield kind of guy), but what if all shields are similarly shiny?

I'll probably be annoyed I didn't pay more attention once I have answers to these questions, but right now I'm not really seeing the dlc gear as content.

Free stuff that only comes with a preorder, so that if the game sucks you  have to buy it, it's literally the equivelent of being told that if you have faith you will rewarded with goodies that the non-believers don't get.

Bonuses for people who buy the game? The horror, the horror.

At the moment, it's bonuses for people who promise to buy the game before it comes out.  And people clearly want all this stuff because they think it will help them GET GIRLS.

Pre-order DLC is one of the worst things to happen to video games.

While I feel it is your right to have this opinion, if you are going to make such a sweeping condemnation you really should give examples of how your statement is true.
Again I am not saying you are wrong I would just like to know why you think you are right.

The DLC isn't so bad, I'm thankful the only pre-order DLC other than at the EA store is standard for every retailer instead of the dreadful practices from DA:O and ME2.

However I'm still annoyed that the signature edition is over with, it shouldn't have had a cut off date at all really up until release and THEN all standard editions would be made after that.

Or you could look at it as games coming out with all of its content at release, and developers deciding to create more content on top of the content of the original game.

Glass, half full. Glass half empty.

I can kinda relate. I have issues with locks. Anything that i can lock, i have to check over and over and over, to the detriment of making me late. If i am forced away from checking, i start panicing. MUST...CHECK...LOCKS!!!! Image IPB

You have a point of course, if the crowd didn't want it, they wouldn't have payed for it, even though we could've given it to them for free, why not make them pay more.  :innocent:

yeah, the developers could just stop making content once the game is out, with the exception of patches. Then i doubt people would be happy then either.

And I doubt the developers would be happy either. No new content equals no new potential revenue.

What are you on about? Everyone wants girls! Even the ones that say they don't like 'em. ;)

That sounds positively scandalous. I am quaking with rage. I think I will post on the internet.

I don't know why everyone is overshotting this, no one is complaining about dlc that's been made after release just before it.

Not really. I'm happy to take advantage of pre-order goodies for a change, since I tend to miss out a lot. And this is the most I've seen for a game so far.
:o
