Guys that is all nice and good, but does anyone of you have an idea when EA is going to do the pre-load? I got an email when I purchase the digital download back on the 18th, but since then nothing. I check the website and it says that they will pre-load, but nothing on the download manager.

I ordered on the 22nd and I still haven't received an e-mail, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I ordered tonight (as EA was the only one seemingly selling the CE for preorder) and got my email within minutes.



EA is the one reason I was hesitant to buy this game. I just decided to take the jump tonight since it will be a while before anything else comes out that I'm interested in.

You got a confirmation e-mail I assume, I received that already. Did you get a shipping e-mail with tracking number though?

Err... no. They tend to not send those until they have actually shipped the item as they usually get the tracking numbers when the item is picked up. I don't expect to see that email till the 3rd unless they are nice and ship a couple days early so it arrives on the 3rd, which I doubt will happen.

I read on EA's forums that they usually ship preorders several days before release and you mau get it day before, day of or next day from release date.

I am having same problems, LAST time I ever order thru EA. I have posted 23 posts so far on lots of Dragon Ages Origins related websites about my Horrible ecxperience with EA Store.

Maybe Bioware should stand up and come to the Defence of Its Loyal followers of Gamers! I own every game Bioware has ever made, about time they do something for us Loyal and first time BioNUTZ aye Bioware? anything, Probably not!

I find the whole idea that people feel entitled to the game prior to its release a bit odd. The release date is set for the 3rd which means the game starts selling then. But some people automatically seem to interpret that as they should have the game before hand so they can play at midnight the 3rd. What purpose would setting the date of the 3rd be if you intended people to get it on the 1st?



Somehow I don't think I would make a good community manager. I think the community is totally bonkers sometimes!

I don't think anyone feels entitled to the game before release, people can hope it gets to them early but that's all it is, hope.  Wanting to get the game on release day is another story entirely and seems perfectly reasonable.  The major gripe most people have in this thread is the ****ty customer service EA has right now on their website.  Most of us can't check the status of our orders or it doesn't even show that we have an order at all. With people posting that they're getting their shipping confirmation emails, its just making the rest of us a little antsy is all. Especially since the shipping seems to be area prioritized (so far everyone posting their emails seems to be in canada) rather than first come first serve.  I'm sure people also understand that variations in shipping processing could cause their game to be a day or two late, but people don't want their game to be late b/c EA dropped the ball and lost the order or sent it out the day before knowing it wouldnt get there even close to release.

The best way to find out if your order shipped and save your self a lot of stress is ck your online banking and if you used your atm for this order you will see the charge go through, otherwise you see the charge as still pending.



The only time i have seen BW release a game sooner then release date in the US was Baulders Gate, so people could have it before turkeyday. The CE editions did not sell out so im sure if you ordered one and did overnight shipping it will be in your hands Tuesday as it will ship Monday.

I remembered when i called EA customer service about a week and a half ago. I was redirected from Gamestop from their customer service (long story) to EA. The call i placed there was in regards to Gamestop's exclusive bonus items (apparently since Gamestop cs is incompetent, false advertising & switch and bait I got redirected here). The conversation went something as follows.

Ea cs: Polite greeting + inquiry?

me: Good day sir, I am calling in regards to Gamestop's exclusive bonus items that come with Dragon Age Origins.

Ea cs: Baffled.

Me: Yes well it seems i was redirected to you because Gamestop's Customer Service doesn't know their head from their ass, and well, said the manufacture which they clam as you, could fill me in if my preorder. I am interested in finding out more about the Feral Wolf Charm and Memory band.

Ea cs: Well hold on lets check the website (Ea's website not gamestops) It seem we have a collectors edition with so and so items along with a regular edition. (lists CE items over the phone to me)

me: yes (yes i know...what you offer), yes but what about the feral wolf charm and memory band?

Ea cs: Apples and oranges (repeats the ea item list)

me: feral wolf....

A week later Gamestop updated their website to reflect all 3 platforms showing all the bonus items you should be getting if you preorder from them. I see this and immediately preorder from them on the 18th. Today i check their site and what do i see, everything about the bonus items removed from their site. No evidence, nothing.

imagine how you would feel (assuming you did care about those crappy items and you only preorderd from them because of it)

I just received an email confirmation too with the same shipping option (2 day air).  I ordered mine on the 24th.  I'm also in the states, middle of the country.

i ordered sep 21...havent got any emails regarding shipping. no matter wat..i get it from them or no...if i dont get it by teusday evening...i m going to nearest ebagames to buy it. ofcourse a lil before they close =p...but no more buisness with EA store.

If you got your confirmation email, use the Shipping number on USPS (US Postal service) or what ever shipping company you choose and it will say where it was shipped from.
