You can have children just running around they don't have to be killable for Heaven's sake! That would be fine. I mean why would anyone want to kill kids? Somebody was complaining several pages back that if you could kill kids in Mass Effect news anchors like Glenn Beck would complain, they would be well within their rights to complain. I certainly would complain! There is no moral reason why you couldn't have kids running around in the game just as long as you can't kill them as part of the game thats just sick.
IF there are kids put into ME3 we should be allowed to kill them if we so choose. Mainly I see nothing morally wrong in killing those brats. Helps with depopulation of wherever Shepard is @. Plus it would be fun.
As for people complaining they may be within there rights to complain as would you but it would still not make a dent in Bioware's profits as most sane people would realize this is a game so if said game gives us the ability to kill kids then that game is not any more wrong than any other game out there that allows us to kill any other form of sapient creature be it human adults or aliens.
Again they should be something that is killable in the very least in a cutscence caused by Shepard's actions (maybe in something similar to Zaeed's Loyalty mission) or make it so they are like the hostages in the Paragon mission in ME1 wherein they can die from bad aim (or intentionally hitting them) by the player character when in the middle of a firefight with a bunch of mercs in said area.

and that idiot is still in line at Afterlife.
LOL that cracked me up. I'll have to say though, how often is it that we see children portrayed in video games that involves some action or violence? I'm sure there is a reason why its a trend not to see uber realism...
I believe it may be that developers or publishers don't want to code something that may become an issue and they are forced to take it out.

I've always wondered why there are never any children in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2... I know it can't be because of child protection laws or any of that, because there are plenty of children in Dragon Age... It just doesn't make any sense for there to not be any children of any species, even when walking amongst residential areas. Anyone know what the deal is?

I can agree with you there. I mean yes Dragon Age had children in it don't get me wrong. But there have already been complaints and campaigns about the same sex relationships in Mass Effect. Adding children in the game who most likely would die by the reapers, will cause another media stir. And in my opinion BioWare doesn't need that.

Considering everything that transpires durring the events of ME3 I wish it had stayed this way.
