Yeah Jack is amazingly gorgeous to me.

For example - Miranda serves one real purpose: to distract you from seeing that Jack is by far the more complex and attractive character - for those who look past jugs and booty, and shallow "Oh, my da-da didn't luv me, and gosh it was so hard being perfect and rich, pity me!"
Tali is there to indulge your sweet tooth, yum-yum, how-sweet-and-cute, yum-yum.
Jack is there to kick you in the sack and make you see that real women are more than titters, ****** and tattoos - they can be mean, they swear, and they never, never, ever think the sun shines out your sad hind-end, even after they stick a boot up it to find out.
Those who don't like Jack? That's cool. You've got your milk and cookies to tide you over, and by all means, indulge in your empty calories.
Those of us who do? We'll be over having us a full-course dinner - with a classy desert, and good scotch.

That is honestly pathetic. You know what? I have to say that it is really cute that you think Jack's sole purpose is to seperate the men from the boys. However, the facts say different. Her past may be a nice point of interest, but it doesn't seperate the fact that she is an young anti-social punk. I don't know what part of you thinks that when a rational thinking person sees a scarred, tattooed, shaved-headed, badly dressed criminal, they should consider dating them. Personally, I don't go for those types of women, and a bunch of other people don't either. But hey! That's why BioWare made multiple love interests: To appeal to different types of people.
For the record: Before you attack me, please note that I like Jack a lot. She has a great face, and is a stong and willing human being. She's just not the type of person I would have a romantic relationship with.

Well...try getting used and disposed of multiple times. And as for Shepard....War. That, and he died.
Then he got brought back, and had some of his organic insides replaced with artificial insides.
He's/She's not always going to be rational.
But anyway, I think Jack's hot. I like to think she's not always going to look like the game portays her -- I mean, she's bound to change clothes, at some point. And seeing as soldiers get scars and tattoos (Not as much tattoos as Jack's, admittedly) I don't really see the point in criticizing her.
You could talk about her hair, but the ones who like her? Really don't care.
Besides, you all act like she'll never -- or be unable to, rather -- grow it back.

I'm glad you laughed. You were supposed to laugh. That's why I wrote it. Then you had to go and prove my point with this:

If I may suggest, you really need to read what's said a smidge more carefully. Beforehand.

Personally, I base my attraction to the opposite sex on what they are, rather than what they look like. One of the benefits of maturity, and being a rational thinking person. Taking all that stuff you think so negative and actually thinking "Hmmm... this person may actually be - *gasp* interesting! Thank Bog I was never sucked into that stupidity of basing my reactions to people based soley on their appearances!"
But hey! To each their own. That's why evolution created natural selection. See above.

You don't want a strong-minded or attractive partner? That's certainly your choice, nor would I deny you that right.
"Attack you"? Why would I do that? It's not as if I'd call what you said above say, something as immaturely crass as "honestly pathetic", or anything like that.
Naw.
Not my style.

I base my attraction to the opposite sex on what they AND what they look like. What's wrong with having both? Their personality may mean more in a long-term relationship, but in order to start one, you're going to need both personality and looks. That's reality.JakeMacDon wrote...

Not like you could Miranda for her personality, No she has large breast, wears form fitting clothing and has rich dad. Obviously there is nothing else too her and she’s only here as a fan service. Couldn’t possibly be that some may actually *gasp* like her for who she is.
Oh, you could. But it'd be hard, as it would with Jack.
With Miri, it's being human first that would tick off a guy/gal that accepts aliens. Doesn't mean he/she's got to immediately hate Miranda. You just gotta agree to disagree on some things.
Same thing goes for Jack. You might not approve of how she lives her life, but you still like her. You can try to help her with/without romancing her, or just agree to disagree.
I'd personally go with the former. It shows you care.

No. That's you. Any viable exception to a rule invalidates that rule. As they say, the biggest sex organ is the brain. Feed my head and the rest of me follows.

That's disputable. Personally, my list of "love interests" in the ME series would go like this:
Chakwas
Samara
Liara
Jack
Tali
Kasumi
Shiala
Gabrielle
Kelly
Urz
Miranda
...but that's me.

I have and had no intention of anything "becoming ugly". Just having a discussion. Neither you nor myself are responsible for how others might react.

Jack actually goes through a transformative experience. Miranda doesn't. There is no real character change for her. She simply divorces herself from another domineering male influence, after developing some small conscience she lacked previously - which then actually gives her conscience. She's a shallow woman with shallow reasons and is mostly a self-serving opportunist. Her relationships have been many and empty. She forms no emotional attachments because she's incapable of it - and she blames everyone except herself for this lack. If anyone is redeemed by the Mighty Shep Mojo, it is she.
People see Miranda and they project in because they want this "spectacular T&A" to be more than just T&A. Perhaps in ME3. But not here, not in ME2.
People see Jack and they project out ("she needs hair and boobs and no tattoos for me to even look at her!" What unbelievable arrogance!) Jack comes packed with personality. You just need the perception to see it. Miranda... just comes packed.
Tali... well, you'll never know the real Tali. Her followers won't allow it. More's the pity.

Tali is the cute girl who you never thought of in that way until she finally feels so strongly that she comes out of her shell for you. Tali is the tragic romance in that it comes with risks to personal health and life but the feelings are strong for her and -shepherd- is her fairy tale knight in shining armor.
Liara of course couldn't even let you go and is probably the most 'powerful' emotionally speaking of all the LI's imho (After LoTSB of course, before that... well not getting into it here).
While Miranda is shallower she still has her personality perks: She's a strong aggressive woman who knows what she likes and wants and will do her best to get it, in fact never taking no for an answer to a point. She is the most like Shepherd in that 'Strong' personality kind of way, an Alpha and -this- makes her not have the best social skills.
What it all comes down to is each LI has their pro's, their con's, and inbetweens which will be driven by our perception of them, which will be as unique as there are individuals playing the game essentially since none of us look at things -exactly- alike.
Jack, is a beautiful character, I found her model to be very well done and her personality was very refreshing to me. As much as I hate covering her beautiful tattoo's however, the loyalty vest just looks better to me than the strap.
