I'm from Slovakia and I don't mind that they've canceled Czech translation of the game ( The Czech translation of ME2 was really bad anyway). Instead of lamenting YOU languadage ignorant poeple should learn english! This abolishment of a translation should encourage you Ignorants to learn at LEAST one foreign damn languadage! You live in a world that uses english worldwide so ADAPT. The weak dies!

PS: Shame on you! Oh no I do understand exactly how the world works. If somebody can not defend and adapt themselfs then their lives are basicly forfeit. Learning english is also a form of defence.

Judging by how you spell "language" perhaps you could also use a greater grasp of English yourself.

Oh, and obvious troll is obvious.

Sometimes poeple make mistakes And yes YOU are indeed a troll...

Well, you seem to be promoting Nietzscheism and extreme Ayn Rand objectivism bordering on fascism so I think we'll let the viewers at home decide who's the troll.

Also, everyone on this thread can speak English(You know, since they've been posting in English, and as they've stated.), the issue is one of comfort when doing a leasure activity like watching a movie or playing a game, where leisure can be reduced if you have to constantly translate in your head.

PS: You also spelled "defense" wrong.

But he admits to having Dragon Age too, which 'is' an 18 rated or mature game....

And jayray, while we are all being so pedentic, in his 'defence', in the context he used the word, he was actually correct.  I suggest you stop using the bastardized ignorant American version and learn the Queen's English :)

Although...historically, English is derived from German. Go figure.

There are a gazillion languages. I can understand that it would be difficult to get translations for all of them. On the other hand, if you are releasing a game into a certain country, you SHOULD make sure that you have it "nativized" so the people of that nation can "get it". Sure, in the European Union, many (most?) people know English, there are likely to be newcomers that aren't there as yet.

I know you're right Mass effect 2 is too dark for people under 17, it's right up there with GTA and gears of war.

And you should learn how to spell LANGUAGE properly instead of verbally attacking others...

Yeah I've changed it so now I can continue to spread my message. this its just my oppinion, I don't care what you weak people think or in what you believe I just hope that some poeple will take this as an advice.

PS: Ahhh I'm tired of people whose only argument is that somebody made a mistake in spelling and that is supposed to automatically disquallify them from having a valid oppinoun on a matter.  Such people do not have ANY constructive arguments. Look at the intention, not at the form.

What makes you think that those who wants translations to their respective language are weak? What advice did you provide aside from blatant insults actually? What is the intention you are trying to pass on?

Oh my You are a smartass troll... and well I'm ... flatterd by your comment :) . Tell me how is it comforting when you are always looking at the subtitles and not at the actual scene... .
Btw They've probably hired some guy translate their frustration in english or ... they can not understand english well enough and that is what should be changed...

PS: If you can not understand it then I'm sad for you. It shows our failure as a species. Its not an insult at all its just a fact in a rude form. An advice that if they want to be satisfied with theirselfs they should learn, conduct new stuff to adapt to overcome challanges because not many people cares about them at all and about their desires. That is what I wanted to say in .... general I suppose.

Subtitles work pretty well actually since human eyes can take pretty much everything in peropheral vision.  Enough that I can type this post and watch a Youtube video at the same time.  Oh, and I aim to please.

And yeah, they hired someone to translate their posts into English so they can hopelessly petition for translations.  That's likely...And you didn't even bring up the internet tranlator thing which would've been a much better rebuttal to my point.  Uninformed troll is uninformed.

Also, I'm all in favor of people learning more languages but viewing things in one's primary language is always best for the viewer's entertainment, which is ofcourse what these products are all about.

And heck, even the UN has audio translation for speeches.  If UN ambassadors aren't expected to learn new languages, then why should one Czech guy who wants to play ME3 be expected to learn?  Not that he ahsn't already learned, which he has.

Wow, people from Czech Republic don't get any love at all while we, Russians, get too much of it. I won't forget the EA's decision to make not only Russian subtitles in DAO (as was the case with ME1&2), but also make the damn voiceover in Russian (which was, of course, much worse than the original one). In fact, it was so bad that I had to buy the English version of the game afterwards.

So, all in all, EA hate the Eastern Europe.

Oh, and also there are a lot of smartasses here, who are ****ing about some forumites not speaking english well enough (what were you expecting from the international forum, huh? That everyone will be speaking English as though they were born and raised in England?)

Actually, they share the same linguistic ancestors, mixed up with Northern tribes and Latin - and that's about it.

There hasn't been "A" German or "A" English until the late Middle Ages. But truth is, Medieval English is pretty related to Medieval German. Much more than todays spoken languages.

And you could say the same about most scandinavian languages.

There is a difference in learning 20 foreign languages and only 1. And btw I think that it is the duty of UN ambassadors to understand at least english... no? Nobody would hire an ignorant ambassador no?

I olny wanted to express my oppinion thats all will you deny me that? Shame on you twice! It's not my fault that some people were commenting on my comments, they asked me some questions and I answered them.

I believe that I've expressed myself accordingly so I shall depart from this thread. there is nothing more to talk about.

Ohoho, funny. This thread is such a nice insult to civil behaviour since the second page or so. My fellow forumites, you really, really should learn to keep your fingers tight to whatever is most distanced to your keyboard if all you can write has virtually nothing to do with the original question. This goes out to a good bunch of people I just read.

And on a sidenote @ mahony427, people do make mistakes indeed, but now letting my inner Language-Fascist speak, you actually made more errors in spelling than could be accountable for common typing oversights, so your point in "Learn english" is indeed somewhat invalid.

Do you speak German or Dutch? If not, they might have just grunted something (or in the german case, lined up some nice words like Weltanschauung, Zeitgeist, Schlag and Halt or Stopp) and you couldn't validate their prowess. Maybe all they can speak actually is solely english Image IPB

PS:
I am german native-tongue, do obviously speak a decent english (decent enough at least) and I do currently learn Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Would that make me a cheater too? Image IPB

Those aren't West Germanic languages, so no unfair advantages!

Have fun learning all the kind of crazy exceptions in Japanese grammar, counting tube shaped/flat/etc. objects, adressing someone from another social class, and whatsoever. :wizard:

Oh and the numbers. You never get above 10k (iirc). man-man-man-man!
