right, several people saying that the comment was over the line is glossing over it, I suppose we should have made a huge drama over it, you know to give you different material to twist about.

of course, its perfectly fine when you go about making comments on your superior knowledge of certain subset of women (which subset is it exactly - pretty women with no common sense? plenty of those in sci-fi/fantasy already), your superior (and our inferior of course) understanding of fashion, character design, science fiction tropes, our simple easily indoctrinated by fictional codex minds, etc etc.

we're feeding you dear because you're incredibly amusing to feed and then watch flounder about trying to sound like you know what you're talking about.

His comment doesn't need much twisting. It was disgusting and that kind of thinking has no place in civilized society. While a couple of people correctly stated that it crossed a line, i'm astounded at the lack of backlash.

Your constant suggestions that i'm a troll aren't much better. I used to have my xbox gamertag in my signature. I have unlocked all of the achievements on Mass Effect 2 and only need a few more on ME1. I'm a genuine fan of the series and  genuinely like the direction taken in ME2.

It's a shame that your only argument to that is to insist that i'm simply "trolling" you, especially considering that i have tried to remain polite to all of you, even in the fact of insults.

Yes. The glossing over of Ieldra's racist commentary was a personal highlight.

By the way, Val, if you're wondering why so many of us have stopped trying to debate with you and instead have turned to laughing, then just for clarification; it's not because you're right. It's because you're so mind-numblingly wrong even attempting to use rational arguments with you would be akin to reasoning with a zombie. A very close-minded, self-righteous and presumptuous zombie with latent chauvinistic tendancies.

The fact that i haven't delved into race hate and that you misspelled hypocracy suggests that you're not entirely sure what the word means.

A thread involving a demand for real armor for squad mates devolves into a flame war without my participation? I demand a do-over! I have a reputation to think of. I'll settle for Jack wearing real armor.

As soon as i finish photoshoping a picture of me in N7 armour to use as a banner my petition to save ME3 from the codex zealots will be ready. You can decide how much i don't really care about this then.

Sorry, I was too busy laughing at you to bother to dignify it with my normal spelling. Of course, now that you've devolved into petty grammar commentary, I take it you've officially taken to grasping at straws. Okay, okay, I'll throw you a bone here and take your side for a while.

Ahem.

All of you insignificant, under-intelligent peasants don't have HALF the fashion sense that me and Val have! Miranda is a role model for all confident, strong women out there! I think we'd all be better of if ALL women dressed like her to show that they are not only confident in their looks, but capable of performing any task whilst wearing the clothes that flaunt those looks! Don't agree? Well, that's because you're not as mature and refined in your tastes as me!

Not quite, Glem.

See, i am yet to engage in the behaviour that i called Ieldra out on. So spelling mistake aside, i don't know which definition of the word "hypocracy" you're working under, but it's not a fitting description of my own behaviour at all.

Also, not all women are alike. Mass Effect already has Commander Shepard and Ashley, so there is no reason to insult certain women by curtailing Miranda.

I am not at all suggesting that all women should become sex objects.

Ohhh. Sorry, my bad. I guess discrimination based on race is different from discrimination based on money, personal fashion sense, and inflated sense of self-importance wherein you consider your opinions and views as being 'higher class' than anyone else's. My bad.

Shouldn't you be shopping a photo of your head onto Miranda's suit?

I haven't discriminated against anyone. Ieldra was suggesting that his interpretation of Miranda's outfit was the correct one. I mentioned that i work in design, and do very well out of it, to suggest that i'm capable of forming my own view.

Similarly, i don't even know what any of you look like, let alone how you dress. I certainly haven't made any comment on it, so how have i discriminated on that basis?

Words aren't just arbitrary constructs; they have precise meanings. Please try to use them more appropriately in the future.

No. I'm like Commander Shepard, scouring the internet to rally allies to fight the indoctrinated codex slaves.

Putting her in armour is a total disregard for her confidence, combat ability and desire to look a certain way. That's not a good message for women.

This isn't a good message for women:

you know I think we've come the the "heart " of the problem Val here, likes staring at Miranda's ass, he loves staring at overexposed mammary glands on various team members, Miranda included. its nice ****** material I suppose. but if those female characters actually develop common senses and wear something more comfortable/protective into combat (like Miranda's new armor for instance) - he won't have anymore eye candy to ****** to.

its ok, don't worry dear, you can already mod the outfits for your characters, I have no doubt that mods for ME3 will start showing up within a week, so you'll be able to mod YOUR Miranda to run around the battlefield as if she's gone clubbing.

I'd say it's perfect. But hey, I guess some people would rather see her in an outfit appropriate for the bathrooms they design. That's OK, really. If you're in a bathroom.

Wow, we're that offensive now?

I like Miranda's outfit. I also like her new armor... makes her look like some... idk... evil general of doom. I don't see a reason however to get that offensive because someone else's taste is different than yours.

I'm sure that you're not being serious, but i'll just point out that i'm currently using the internet. If i ever feel the need to, you know, i'm sure i could quickly find some material.

I'm just as passionate about Mordin and Thane remaining unarmoured, so i assure you that it's not that.

At least this time he managed to contain his racism. Still, it's quite petty to make such simple jabs at someone that has no interest in engaging him.
