The AA is optional. You don't have to use it.

I'd say it's perfect. But hey, I guess some people would rather see her in an outfit appropriate for the bathrooms they design. That's OK, really. If you're in a bathroom.

I don't believe armour to be as important as a lot of you fundamentalists profess. The best way to survive a varren bite is to not get bit. When i was in the military we had a similar attitude to gunshots.

Military experience means your opinion takes apparent precedence over what the opinions of those you declare fundamentalists on grounds that you disagree with them.

Val Seleznyov wrote...

By pandering to the lesser tastes
of the codex zealots, BioWare are essentially saying "No. You cannot be
both feminine and tough and look pretty".

The tastes of those you call 'zealots', again because they disagree with you, but happen to have something to back up their views, are considered 'lesser' compared to your clearly superior tastes.

Val Seleznyov wrote...

In other words: your English
really is as poor as it seems and you didn't actually realise that
you've been misusing the term "fan service" for so long.

Poor English skills means a person wrong, evidently. Sounds like a theme considering your previous grammar remark. It's a good thing your superior grammar is here to show us all what the right way is.

Val Seleznyov wrote...

I find it interesting that the
only people that bring up Miranda's overt sexualism are the codex
zealots and armour fundamentalists.

I'm capable of looking at
Miranda and seeing past that -- seeing what her outfits really say
about her as a human being. But like i said in another thread, i just
have a more enlightened attitude on women and equality.

Someone comments on the fact that Miranda's look is purely ******-fetish in nature? Clearly they are zealots and fundamentalists! It's a good thing you're so enlightened about women and equality, thus furthering the proof that you are, after all, the superior being and not like us inferior minds.

Val Seleznyov wrote...

And what we have here is the last
recluse of the simple-minded. If you're out-thought, or simply disagree
with someone unwilling to back down, accuse them of "trolling" you.

Because when you point it out if someone's behaviour is trolling, it makes them simple-minded. Not like your immense intellect, of course.

Oh look. That's just after six pages. Want me to go on?

Wow.

All I will add to this flame fest is that I support realistic armor in battle and on exploration/hazardous missions.

If I was in space, I would take my armor everywhere JUST IN CASE there was a problem! LOL.

Anyway... Val.. you are in the minority brother, and your arguements are sorely lacking. The only thing you can say for yourself is its your opinion.... but in this case... your opinion is ill informed and makes no sense.

Ok, so that was more than I intended to say - apologies for adding to the flames.

It reminds me of Issac Clarke's armor. Maybe less glowing parts and make them red? Looks nice! :wizard:

I'm only going to pick up on a few of your points Gleym.

Mentioning that i was in the Russian Navy is hardly discriminating against anyone that wasn't. I mentioned it to explain why i feel the way i do, and i think that even you will struggle to seriously suggest that i was using it to elevate myself.

English is my second language, and i do take some pride in my mastery of it. In the post in which i mentioned your spelling error, that was a secondary point in any case. The primary point being that you misused the word hypocrisy.

A lot of people on the internet fall into the habit of declaring anyone they disagree with as being a troll.

If you want to carry on, go ahead, but attempting to equate any currently cited example as being on a par with Ieldra's racism is laughable.

Idk man. Its not like you are right or someone else is wrong. It is a question of taste. I like blue, you like yellow... we're not gonna engage into an epic flame war to prove who is right and wrong. Capisce?

And don't start about discussing about a space opera realism. Save your time.

EDIT: just to add... I'm not trying to discuss with you or disagree with you... just trying to show how pointless this discussion can be (I'm on the neutral fence on this one). :D

you know I think we've come the the "heart " of the problem Val here, likes staring at Miranda's ass, he loves staring at overexposed mammary glands on various team members, Miranda included. its nice ****** material I suppose. but if those female characters actually develop common senses and wear something more comfortable/protective into combat (like Miranda's new armor for instance) - he won't have anymore eye candy to ****** to.

Wow, we're that offensive now?

I like Miranda's outfit. I also like her new armor... makes her look like some... idk... evil general of doom. I don't see a reason however to get that offensive because someone else's taste is different than yours.

sorry just going on personal impression based on Val's arguments thus far.    even though once i na while, he remembers that we're talkign about all characters not just Miranda, somehow it always comes to down to defending her "right" as a  "strong confident woman proud of her looks" to disregard any common sence.

I like Both Miranda's casual outfits,  I prefer black one, but that's partly due to my personal love/hate relationship with white fabrics.  but they are just that - casual outfits.

our ground team crew are not secret agents ala James Bond, alhtough Thane and Kasumi used to be something of a sort untill they joined up with Shepard.  they are soldiers who go into firefights, dangerous enviroments, etc. for them wearing their casual outfits, just to apease someones vision of "esteticaly pleasing" is detrimental to the games immersion.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the fact of the matter is that you DO consider yourself superior to everyone who disagrees with you. It shows in the way you talk down to everyone, flaunting your career, claiming you have a superior and better understanding of women and feminity just because it's contrary to what everyone else is saying. You discriminate against others based on the fact that you think we're all wrong and you're right. Thus you are a hypocrite.

I consider myself to be better than most people, that's true. But that opinion is formed based on the actions of said other people, not their ethnicity or country of birth.

For example, several of you have taken to flat out insulting me. I wont reply in kind because i'm better than that.

I know its kinda offtopic and we're discussing weather and alien puke amidst a war trench... but hey do you wanna know what would be so ****ing cool? Some character with steampunk-based pilot goggles. I'm telling you that because it would fit nicely on that Jack picture.

Incorrect.

I use the phrase "codex zealot" to describe those of you that adhere to the codex entries with an undue and excessive zeal. It's not so much an insult as an accurate description of anyone that would sacrifice gameplay or aesthetics for the sake of appeasing a codex entry.

I use the phrase "body armour fundamentalist" to describe those of you that want to revert to the basic armour principles of Mass Effect 1.

This brings us back to words having specific meanings.
