Grunt is a krogan anyway. They are built for survival in absurd environments.

Miranda and Jacob running around in spandex is more...dumb.

I was disappointed that they didn't give better armour for Samara in that AAP. She sorely needs it

I don't know frankly I think Grunt's arms being exposed is silly.

He's a Krogan. Who cares how toned he looks?

I agree. I was hoping when I saw Grunt on second appearance pack that they will finaly cover his arms so I can use him on missions in space, but for now are space missions only for Garrus and Tali in all my playthroughs.

still something to be considered. Krogan are tough, but even Wrex covers up his arms, not to mention countless mercenaries we've encountered so far. Grunt's armor is quite lovely and more practical then some other team members but it could also use less "suspension of disbelief" IMO.

Hmm, I wonder if Miranda's new armour comes with a proper helmet when in hostile environments.

i'm really getting sick of hearing people **** about how no one wares any real armor. I don't really care if, say like, Miranda wares that skin-tight outfit into battle or Jack waring a belt for a top for that matter. If they got the skills, let them ware what ever the **** they want.

I like Miranda and I like Tali's new armor. I would've liked Grunt's except the fact that his arms are exposed and his visor looks like he needs glasses or something.

Still, 2 out of 3 and it has my favorite character in it.

Call me a cynic but it would be a shrewd business move to spread out the alternate outfits that squadmates direly need over multiple packs. Lumping them all into one would be more convenient for us punters but less profitable for BioWare.

I'm hoping that when Grunt puts his helmet on, he also uses upper arm guards for a fully sealed suit.

On the topic of Grunt, at least according to Wrex he wouldn't really feel it given the way a Krogan's nervous system is different from a human's.

Then their skin burns off because they wore that on a hostile enviroment.

Grunt having exposed arms is silly but I can live with it because it's much lower priority than other squadmates whose attire is very unsuited for combat.

I see it as being acceptable because Grunt is given an incredible regen rate compared to regular krogan. He can probably take a round to the arm and have it heal up pretty damn fast.

AFAIK Krogan were used on the rachni wars because they were the only that could stand the conditions of the Rachni worlds. I bet Grunt exposed arm is tougher than all possible armor combinations for Shepard.

I doubt it. The breathing masks are an easy add-on, but to give Miranda a helmet you'd have to redesign or disable her hair. So far, no team member has the "switching capability" for that.

Still, the new armor greatly improves her appeal. A step into the right direction. I take it in the spirit it was offered and I'm gladly paying the price of a bottle of Coke for it.

Probably not as bullet resistant as Shep's armor but still far more than Shepard's or anyone's arm.

Could Grunt's exposed arms survive vacuum exposure?

As for Samara, I'd like to see what someone could come up with that makes her spaceworthy yet retains that justicar flair about her.

Wrex sort of implies on Tuchanka that vacuum ain't **** for a krogan.

But he could have been joking.

Well, I wouldn't say that a Krogan can definitely survive in a vacuum. Probably lasts longer than a human, though. And dies less painfully.

I don't think it would take much for Samara, just cover up the cleavage area with the same material as on her joints, possibly thicken the red areas a bit, to give them illusion of thicker armor and as for her helmet, it could have the same motif as her forehead ornamentation?  oh yeah, instead of her current heels, something slightly lower and sturdier?

At least get rid of the heels.

I hate those heels.

Yeah. I hope that Bioware don't use any of these ideas. It would make for a much duller looking cast.

I have pulled my tablet out, however, and will design a good looking body armour for Jack, Samara and Thane.

Wearing a flimsy breather isn't a helmet.

Awesome.

And everyone is entitled to an opinion, IMHO. :D
