Hey all, just having some PC problems and looking for some assistance. Just recently I decided to reinstall Baldur's Gate + TotSC on my Windows 7 laptop, but I've been having some issues.

When I have Baldur's Gate installed alone, everything works fine; I put the disc in, the game runs. However, problems begin popping up when I attempt to install Sword Coast. Whenever I launch the game, the TotSC launcher appears, and the game tells me to have my ToTSC disc in the drive. However, everytime I enter a new area, suddenly the game tells me that it can't detect a game disc, at which point it says I should switch back to the original BG disc and everything would work fine. Although tedious, I stuck with this for a week or so and now suddenly the game refuses to run period.

Has anyone had a similar problem to this? I'm just looking for a simple way to run BG using one disc without having to switch back and forth constantly. Thanks in advance.

Find the baldur.in file the game uses (it'll be located in your installation directory, or somewhere else, depending on your system settings) and make sure there are entries for CD1 to CD6 under the [Alias] header.

Also, make sure you do a custom install with all boxes ticked and not a recommended install which will still require disk access at various transitions. Same for the TotSC install too.

If you have to re-install it's better not to use the default directory too, change it to something like c:\\games.

I think in Windows seven the baldur.ini file is hidden? in the windows x86 compability folder?
