I have an issue with basic navigation in this game...example,Lets say I want or need to look for a particular character in a mission in the "Citadel". I find it difficult to find my way to this person because my compass doesn't really point me in the right direction. It doesn't have any basic info in map or compass to direct me to this person or area. The map gives landmarks, but doesn't tell me if I'm heading in right direction. The arrow on compass points in a "general" direction, but also does not lead me to my goal. When I click on the mission in my journal,it doesn't give me any detailed info to help me find a specific person or place. Is there anywhere I can go on the web to help me navigate through this game? Getting frustrated to point of saying screw it.

#1, do you have the Prima Guide? For ME1 it is EXCELLENT, ME2 not so much.
Who are you having trouble finding?

I think the point is for you to explore a little, rather than going directly from point to point (as it seems like you would if given a direct, clear "your objective is HERE" marker). Explore. Wander around. It doesn't take long to get used to the areas. I assume you don't need a compass and a HUD to get around your own town, right?

The was one of the things I really liked about ME1. It didn't feel like the game was holding your hand too much, and you could make your own way around.

Just trying to find my way through missions to reach a goal of any kind.Just seems confusing making my way through game without walking all over with no specific direction indicators.

Two tips:
1. Use your map. A lot of times it is helpful, and you can set marks to help you get to where you need. Especially useful on non-maingame quests.
2. On the citadel, the directions on the walls are helpful. In addition, the rapid transit.
In terms of the journal confusing you, I'd invest in the Prima guide if its a big issue.
