The  ending in "The English Patient", I cry every time I see it.

"I want all this marked on my body. Where the real countries are. Not boundaries drawn on maps with the names of powerful men. I know you'll come carry me out to the Palace of Winds. That's what I've wanted: to walk in such a place with you. With friends, on an earth without maps. The lamp has gone out and I'm writing in the darkness."

Seriously too many to choose from. But I watched an old favorite a while ago.

Guess who won't be joining us for the rest of his life? =]

It's not my favorite, but the scene in The Road where the father shows the son how to properly commit sucide. A very grim, bleak, saddening, depressive scene of the daily life in a post-apocalyptic world.

Three words.
Why so serious?
I almost forgot this scene too.

Yes.

I don't know if there could have a been a more perfect song for that scene.

Pan's Labyrinth - the Flayed Man sequence. (Though did anyone else wish that he'd burst out of the crypt and get Capitan Vidal? Totally contrary to the point and premise of the film, but I can dream.)

Lovely weepy moment for anyone who's ever owned a dog comes in Up!  Dug, the dorky golden retriever, stows away under the house. The old man asks why. Dug replies: 'I hid under your porch because I love you.' Nice contrast to that episode from Futurama, which I watched by accident on the first anniversary of my dog's death. Jesus, I was in floods.

In Sunshine I like the scene where Kaneda and Capa are trying to repair the ship, while the approaching sun endangers them.

I already listed alot of films, but how did I forget this! The ending of This is England, where Combo goes mad. He's a racist, who's mixed race, his father beat him as a kid, and walked out on him. He see's himself beating up his dad.

I love how Stephen Graham and Shane Meadows bring this character to life, the ''f*cking leave them alone!'' bit always gives me shivers, I heard from Combo's backstory thats supposed to be what his mother would shout as his father beat Combo, his brother and sister. This film makes my top ten movies easy.

Warning: Very strong language, and racism (although Combo is mixed race so I dont know if you can call it racism or not)
