I was wondering what would happen if you bring your love interest to the brothel and buy a hooker right in front of her (or him). Anyone done that?

Also, what would happen in Redcliff if you, say, ask for a kiss for a reward from the girl who's brother was missing?

Those two particular instances, I don't believe anything would happen with the exception of what would should they not be your LI.

Tested this out with soft (unhardened/changed) Leliana with romance active today and if you receive a kiss from any of the girls in Redcliffe as a reward, it's -10 influence.

If you take her with you to the Pearl and hire a prostitute right in front of her, it's -1 influence.

And no, it's not a typo... -10 for kisses, -1 for strumpets.

Lol it's because Lel's not included in with the strumpets.   Morrigan & Lel will make a comment n I believe you lose approval from both if they're at interested when u kiss the girl in Redcliff Tavern as a reward.  I don't remember how much for Morrigan though.

Edit:
As far as the woman in the chantry who asks u to find her brother, I've asked her but I don't think I actually kissed her. She made some kind of comment n I couldn't go through with it I think, so as far as approval losing with your female companions I don't know.

i read somewhere, i think it was the dragon age wiki, that when you ask for a kiss from any NPC that what ever female companion you have with you will not look kindly on it. anyone know if this is true or not? regardless its not gonna stop my warden, he loves the ladies. he even bedded that dalish the would be hunter had thing for once. i felt a little guilty, then i had i had a smoke

If you pay up at the Pearl Leliana and Alistair will lose one approval point if not hardened. If they are hardened they do not take note. Zevran and Morrigan never do. It is odd that hardening is (successfully) taken into account when the effects are so underwhelming to begin with. There are no lines spoken.

If you kiss Bella while in a romance (or two) you get this. If you take a kiss from Kaitlyn your love interest will again disapprove. Here's Morrigan's line (-3). Leliana's is a sarcastic "How noble" (-10) but I can't find a video of it. Perhaps Leliana's fans are less prone to coax kisses out of orphans.

In the dalish camp your relationships are not taken into account by the game. Approval effects are the same regardless. The most bizarre result of that is Zevran approving of you seducing Cammen when he himself is in love with you. Propositioning Dwyn (the Redcliffe dwarf) again yields no results and propositioning Isabela yields too many to list.

because Zevran thinks it's funny! Plus, there is no way he's in love with the Warden at that point.  He only reaches love after dealing with Talisan at near the end of the game.

edit:  and Zev is only upset about Isabella if he is left out of the fun...if he joins in he GAINS approval. hehe

Morrigan didn't like it when I kissed either the girl in the Chantry or Bella in the tavern but I don't THINK she noticed when I hooked up with a girl at the brothel. She didn't care for my fling with Isabella though!

Wynne's reaction to the Warden bedding Genya (the red headed Dalish girl..) is bugged it's supposed to be -10 leliana is a -1 lol I did that for the first time last week I kinda felt bad after hearing her "buyer remorse remark poor thing.

I'm still thinking of telling Camen about it I wonder how many minuses I would get.

I told Cammen about it after Erik seduced Gheyna - he was heartbroken. Can't remember what my companions thought.

The only companions I've seen react to having sex with Cammen or Gheyna are Wynne, Zevran, Morrigan. As far as prostitutes go, the most I ever got was a one time -1 approval from Alistair and leliana. Beyond that......nada. I've flirted with Teagan in front of both Alistair and Zevran, went through all options at the Pearl, ect. For the supposed love of your warden's lives, they are pretty apathetic about blatant infidelity.

I suppose your companions view soliciting prostitution as strictly a business transaction with no romantic connotations. (Which it is, but still …)

That, or the devs really wanted people to hire the prostitutes at the Pearl for some reason.

I guess if I went to the work of designing a ****house, I'd want people to use it.

I didn't ask the girl whose brother was lost for a kiss because it made me feel like a pedo. Screwed myself out of a damn sword.

Zevran was raised in a brothel so I don't think he would have a problem with it. When I took him to the brothel he made some comment about it feeling like home and sounded quite approving!

I think you need to hire a prostitute to do one part of the body dumping quest though? I couldn't get in the right room unless I had been a paying customer.
