With Combat Magic, magic now determines your damage, does it also determine your attack rating? Because if it does then the dexterity attribute is pretty much useless for a tank build. Thanks for any help.

If I plan to melee much, I like a DEX or 30 for wielding daggers and a little defense. But as a caster, I leave DEX at 20.

To answer the question, no magic will not give attack bonus like strength does only melee damage, so you must put points to DEX if you want to hit something with a sword.

Combat Magic does grant attack based on Magic, but at a lower rate than Strength or Dexterity would provide. .2 per point instead of .5.
I personally like my Arcane Warriors virtually all in on the Magic stat, so I rely on buff and debuff spells like Miasma or Heroic Offense for most of my accuracy.

Another question then. A mage with a bow. Anyone seeing sense in that?

Only if you really wanted to RP it. Without Melee Archer you'd have bad interruption issues, and you'd have to sheath it to cast I think.

There are a lot of spells that can be cast unsheathed. I'm thinking of going for those. The reason i'm into Bow is that i initially wanted to do an Archer but then i realized that a Bow for a mage with the Dex to supplement it would help alot and would keep him at a distance while maxing his damage dealing when he's OOM.

Question; Is it easier to hit a target that is stunned?

I tend to keep the Staff while im in heavy armor. Since it does more damage then my melee weapons due to the fact staff is 100% chance to hit. Also i dont have to worry about drawing/sheathing my weapons to cast spells.

Haven't been able to find out thus far. Perhaps asking in the Toolset forums might help. Sorry.
