I was going back and reading my Forgotten Realms Campaign guide and my Ancient Empires of Faerun books(for 3rd edition), and I realized that 10,000 years (give or take a century or 2) would have put it right in the middle of the Elven 5th Crown War. And possibly during the rise of the Nethereese as well. Maybe it should be 20,000 years before DR (Dale Reckoning, the calander of Faerun) instead?
