The only monetary reward I know of for choosing paragon is in Zaeed's mission. You get like 30000 extra credits if you safe the refinery. But the point of it is, at least for the interupts, that you are almost never punished for either smacking or hugging someone. They are mostly there for extra flavoring.

Since renegades let/kill the council which upsets the turians and they start to ignore council conventions on ship building, turians have more fleet you could potentially recruit.

This might counter the quarrians/geth having less troops fleet from killing each other/killing the herectics.

At the end of Mass Effect Retribution, which is the book that takes place right after the events of ME2 the game, the Illusive Man and Aria T'Loak form a loose partnership and vaguely discuss the threat of the Reapers. A cool thing they could do for Renegade Sheps is have Cerberus and Aria pool resources and you can get entirely different crew mates than if you quit cerberus. Your squad could consist of people Aria and TIM suggest. Possibly a couple of Arias top goons or something also would be cool.

You save the universe and end up being Cerberus janitor who has to clean up the mess, when secret projects go wrong. Your first task is to clean Collector base full of Borglike human supersoldiers and another babyterminator. And TIM had no idea what they were doing in there.

At least its more interesting, than being a paragon. You get promotion, tons of medallions and end up writing endless amount of reports in a Citadel office.

Here we go I found some statistics on gamefaqs.

TOTAL BASE CREDITS AVAILABLE (w/o DLC) - 1,042,725
With store discounts (new ME2 game, no import) - 1,276,741

Even with the 200k NGP bonus in no way does it come close to the ridiculousness of ME. Obviously with the "rich" bonus and the import bonus (more than likely 60 for anyone on the forums). It's quite different.

I played a "clean" PS3 game and found money to be something that actually mattered for a change.

How does a new ME2 character end up with more possible credits? Do you know how much the total cost of upgrades are? I haven't even come close despite earning extra credits with the varen pit-fighting to getting all upgrades in 2 playthroughs 1complete a 2nd almost there.

Why wouldn't renegades get promotions or medallions either.

More importantly who is going to give you medallions and a promotions.

Renegade players are already rewarded with badass dialogue and actions; I don't think we need anything other than that.

Paragon players are rewarded by paragon dialogue and actions.

Why should they get anything more than that?

No, picking the moronic and laughable paragon dialogue rewards the paragon players with even more stupid paragon dialogue.

Sorry. I meant that if you are renegade and keep working to Cerberus you end up being TIMs janitor.
If you are good guy and work with Council you will be obsolete warhorse that must be buried into piles of paper.

No happy end for poor old Shep :crying:

As far as the Council is concerned paragons are still Cerberus operatives.
Don't foget Paragons disobeyed Council orders by doing Garrus, Kasumi, and Thane loyalty missions, even though Shepard was supposse to keep his/her activities in the Terminus Systems

ME3 is either going to be Human dominance or hold Humanity back while the other Council races have more power

Ahhh, so this is what they were talking about. I've seen some paragon players complain that renegade players are flat out bashing them for their choices and up until now I hadn't really seen it.

How about we tone down the insults and just stick to the topic, hmm?
