Who says the warrior must be a tank? The warrior might just be a highly versatile and effective killing-machine. Afterall, warriors are called WARRIORS, not shieldwalls.

No kidding.... In fact half of my warriors go for the 2 hander goodness. The only problem is that it is likley to be the least versitlie of the 3 classes, so I am not expectin a ton.

I am not being cynical on purpose, its just after so many times as a warrior I want to try something else. Mages have me excited for the potential in story that they may have, because there is different meaning to be a mage than a warrior.

and vice versa. Not at all, I think everyone should have a preference whether it rogue, mage, warrior, thats the beauty of choices that work.   I just think bioware did a good job revamping the warrior class, no more shuffling, more executing.  and to the mages, for one giving them finishing moves.  Not to take away from the rogues or mages, I think we as bioware fans should embrace warrior week!  not say what about us rogues or us mages

I usually go with warrior on my first playthrough although this time I'm going mage first. I'm still looking forward to the new info on warriors. I don't think warriors are boring at all. I never have my warrior be a "tank." Where's the fun in that?

I laughed when I read that. It reminded me of my old work place whenever I wore a skirt and walked up the stairs. The guys would inevitably rush over to try to catch a glimpse.

I have no idea why, but your suggestion totally made me think of this old '80s movie...

Woo hoo, happy to see more warrior info coming in. Warriors are the backbone of any party, I think. Of course, they need healers to keep them alive and a rogue to dps down the enemies but it's usually the warrior who is the first into the fight, taking on all comers so that the rest of the party can shine. Warriors are boring? Maybe for some. I find the visceralness of melee combat more enjoyable than lobbing a spell at someone. Taking someone out without an overpowering barrage of magic or the ability to use poisons and stealth just screams manly at me. It's like saying, I fought you on your own terms and I win.

Warriors protecting the bathrobe wearing squishies from the meanies.

Mages overrated since ever.

Behind every warrior is a cowering mage.

Respect the warrior or get up front and take your own ass whipping.

Tanks under appreciated since RPGs were RPGs but no self respecting RPG will do with out the standard Sword and Board that makes all the other classes viable. It is funny that even when i played a mage i still had to control the wartank because in setting up the fight the first 20 seconds were critical. I could leave the the squishies picking thier noses in the rear with the gear while the tank went out and introduced us.

No sorry the wartank IS, WAS, AND forever shall be, the most critical class in a team based RPG if not everybody would elect to go PEW PEW PEW m indlessly in the rear with the gear.

Yea for the warrior class, no respect but we could kick your ass......squishey
