I'd also like to see some info on class specs and etc. on all of the classes.  Release day is just around the corner, and yet so little info about class specifics have been released.  Since so little info is on the main site, I'm looking forward to the demo to see what combat in DA2 is like.

Tanks under appreciated since RPGs were RPGs but no self respecting RPG will do with out the standard Sword and Board that makes all the other classes viable. It is funny that even when i played a mage i still had to control the wartank because in setting up the fight the first 20 seconds were critical. I could leave the the squishies picking thier noses in the rear with the gear while the tank went out and introduced us.

No sorry the wartank IS, WAS, AND forever shall be, the most critical class in a team based RPG if not everybody would elect to go PEW PEW PEW m indlessly in the rear with the gear.

If you can get close enough to strike. Rogue drops into stealth and lobs grenades at you with impunity. Mage chain-stuns with Crushing Prison, Paralysis spells, Horror, or even Mind Blast if you get close enough. Healer mage turns on Shimmering Shield and Rock Armor and just plinks away with never-miss staff bolts, popping a Heal/Regenerate when they get low on HP.

My playstyle when I got to actually plan a strategy before combat revolved around getting a mage close enough to drop Blizzard, use the freeze to lay down another AoE spell, and then return to the party where the archers would plink away at the helpless enemies while the tank Taunted to draw the attention of anything that survived the hell I put them through at the start. But that's because I like playing the "squishies," so my playstyle insisted on maximizing their potential.

Yes, warriors often play a vital role in RPG combat. My very first character I played was a half-elven fighter in D&D, so I know how fun it is to be there on the frontlines. But the other classes aren't helpless without one.



Now with hopefully my cross-class fighting out of the system, huzzah for warriors!
