Hey guys,

I am to buy looking for the most complete edition of NWN (with expansions and premium modules) via Internet in Europe. Can anyone point me where I can find such a thing?

That would be the Diamond Edition. And if you're not averse to a download version, you can get it for $9.99 (about EUR 7.50) from GOG.com (2.1 GB download, English language, no DRM, pdf-manuals included).

The Diamond Edition from GOG includes:
- Neverwinter Nights, patched up to 1.69 (the last official patch)
- Shadows of Undrentide expansion
- Hordes of the Underdark expansion
- Kingmaker premium module package, containing Kingmaker, Witch's Wake and Shadowguard.

Unfortunately there's no chance to get your hands on the rest of the premium modules anymore (that is the ones that were only sold online and required online activation: Infinite Dungeons, Pirates of the Sword Coast, Wyvern Crown of Cormyr), since Atari withdrew their support for them.

Then again, once you have the Diamond Edition, you can get all of these custom modules for free and you get to play online Multiplayer modules for free, too, if you like (if you get the game from GOG, you have to specifically ask for a multiplayer key after the purchase! Could take a couple of days to arrive but you can immediately start playing Single Player).

I've been a NWN player for years but I've been limited to NWN+SoU+HotU and wanted to play the Premium Modules aswell.

In that case you might still find the Kingmaker premium module package on Amazon for a few euros.

Keep in mind that the GOG Diamond version (which has some of the premium modules like Kingmaker) says it is patched to 1.69, but it is not. You might also want to download the 1.69 critical rebuild, or you may find certain items (e.g. door models) don't work.

According to the GOG forums, it looks like they have updated the version they are distributing to be 1.69 with the correct BIF files.

I believe they fixed that recently and the rebuild isn't necessary anymore? But I admit I haven't tried it out myself yet.

It's possible that it has been fixed. I bought a copy on Decemeber 31, 2011, That one was still not using the same BIFs as retail box Diamond patched to 1.69.



[...] Glancing at the GOG forum, people are saying that they have indeed got the correct BIFs installed. I hope that is the case. I will add a note to my earlier post.

Pretty cool you can get a 1.69 version. Now they just need a boxed version with all the premium mods in it.
