In all my years of playing Baldur's Gate 2 I have yet to experience this problem, I have a few mods installed however which I never used before including the Solufein mod and the Darkest Day.

When I watch the ending cutscene in SOA the TOB credits start playing as soon as it finishes, just after the "clearing game data" screen, when I click "done" I am taken back to the SOA menu and my cursor is invisible, forcing me to quite via alt-F4, does anyone have a solution to this? I have the Baldurdash fixpack installed and I have the latest SOA and TOB patches, what should I do here?

In which order did you install that?

I installed SOA followed by TOB, I think I then followed those with the latest SOA patch and then the latest TOB patch, then it may have been the Darkest Day, followed by the Quest pack, then the Solaufein mod and some others I installed for TOB, i only installed the Baldurdash Fix pack recently because Odren's dialogue would glitch out after I'd defeated Demogorgon.

I know what the problem is, it's the Darkest Day, I uninstalled it and everything worked fine.. *BUT* I've got quite a bit of equipment from the mod and I know it's compatible with TOB, so I reinstalled the Darkest Day and all my armour and equipment was present again.. strange.. I already had the latest patch for the Darkest Day installed and like I said, i have the Baldurdash fixpack too, what is going on?

I would also suggest your install order isn't right, specifically applying the SOA patch after installing TOB. Either drop the SOA patch or apply it before installing TOB.

Yes, if installing SOA and TOB, don't install the SOA only patch, go

SOA
TOB
TOB patch

as for the baldurdash fixpack, i haven't used that in almost a decade, but i know that with the G3 fixpack, you install that IMMEDIATELY after the game + official patch and BEFORE any other patches. Might be the same with Baldurdash, check the readme on that fixpack.
