Renegades are persecuted!

How come you keep cheating me out of
content? How come every time I kill an NPC, a new and better one
doesn't show up to takes its place?
How come paragons get more store discounts, even though I got to alter the political landscape and put humans in power?
How come the paragon playstyle works just as well as mine, when my way of doing things is obviously superior?
Why don't paragon decisions turn out to bite people in the arse, even though none of mine have done that, anyway?
And why don't I get emails?! I want more stupid emails, preferably from dead people!
Why don't I get stupid extra sidequests, even though the renegade option is to turn them down, anyway?
How come I have to make sacrifices even though I believe in getting the job done no matter the cost?
And I want my lines to sound stupid and naive like the paragon ones! I hate being a snarky badass! I hate having more fun!
And killing off squadmates is totally renegade even though I can
still make it through without a single casualty due to a high
intimidate score and the ability of every single quest to be one by both
sides. Don't tell me killing Wrex is not renegade, either, even though
I could have talked him down if my intimidate score was high enough and he dies if you're not paragon enough, too!

Actually, the point of the thread is that renegades are not persecuted.Stupidus wrote...

If you whine because you choose to be an ass, then don't be a renegade, renegades are ruthless BAMF's! I hate renegade anyways, lamest thing to do in a game, it's more for ****s and giggles than a serious playthrough. Cheez you imply that they do not get persecuted? how so?

Because I thought it was something completely different. It might make a nice exageration to make a point, but if that point was supposed to be that Renegades don't get the short end of the stick, you really didn't make it well.

No, I meant I was being sarcastic. People complain that paragons are rewarded too much while renegades get the shaft. However, what paragons do get is rather trivial, while renegades have a lot more fun with their epic badassery. No renegade decision has honestly "backfired." None that I can think of, anyway.Ericzio wrote...
I'm serious.

If your point is reducto ad absurdum, your point is perfectly good. It's just reducto ad absurdum, and shouldn't be taken seriously.AdmiralCheez wrote...

If your point is that those are the actual complaints and positions people have, you're just misleading.

Yeah, it is a reducto, but I have seen people complain about how renegades are never rewarded while paragons are put on a pedestal. The lack of NPCs is a big one, and the desire to watch the paragons screw themselves over is another.Dean_the_Young wrote...

i think the desire to have paragons screw themselves over is more because i remember alot of paragons saying how killing the rachni queen or keeping the base was going to screw renegades over, so i guess some want a status quo kinda effect, i personal would love it if all my renegades choices ended badly for me, makes me have to work harder to fix themAdmiralCheez wrote...
