How will the new ME 3 be, will it be like ME and ME 2 [Single Player] that you can play without online connections or not?
And how will it be if we modd the game, what happens then? Will we be sued?

Just want to know, because I will modd the new game as well!
Is it Starcraft that have sued the gamemodders? Correct me if I wrong?

You have done a good job with ME and ME2, and all DLC is really good.

My wish for ME3, is that we can play the game like we do today with ME2 [Single Player]. No online game, if sow, make it a free option.
Best of luck with your developing. :)

I fully support it staying a single player game, maybe some online features but nothing more since the devs tend to focus more on the online aspects just like in Dead Space 2.

There will be an online component. Few people are very happy about it, and most of those people are EA goons.

If customers have something to say, should they listen to our voices.

I really hope they do.

Mass Effect doesn't need online play, it's a game that is strongly story based and that is one of the main things that make this franchise so great. I wouldn't like to play co-op and have the immersion taken away by some dimwit im playing with. And i wouldn't like to play a deathmatch watching some of my favorite videogame characters running around shooting each other.

you might think im being a abit too much obsessed, im not obsessed i just dont want any of the greatness taken away. The game is Amazing as it is so why try to fix something that isn't broken?

In a singleplayer game the online component should remain completely optional. As a DRM it fails miserably and only makes life difficult for paying customers, since pirates *will* eventually find a way to circumvent it.

My guess its that its going to use the same DRM as DAII.

Online connection required for the first install and periodic check every 2 weeks or so.

i think the online would be a good idea, but only if it was like on fable where your friends could jump in n out maybe in their own space craft meet up do side quests n stuff share found weapons on explored planets even explore planets together in the same vehicle like the mako from ME 1.

I hope it stays offline but I've heard of some online component. As for Starcraft Blizard has a rule of not modding the game when people broke that rule they filed suits.

Definitely not. Possibly a DLC after the game is finished but right now the focus should be on ending such an amazing story.

-ME3 will most likely be like the other two in regards to how they're able to be played offline
-ME3 modding will mostly likely be allowed.. just frowned upon.. voided warrenty not responsible etc
-As for starcraft 2 i don't believe anyone was sued.. if youre talking about "world of Starcraft", the mod it was pulled because of the name. Blizzard most-likely has rights and plans for it way down the line. As a side note he was told to meet the developers (take that however you want) and somebody else notice his work/mod and offered him a job.

I don't think what you are saying is true.  DS2 had a great storyline, and wasn't at all lacking when you compare it to online.

You can say that the online feature was lacking and the game focuses more on its single player mode.

This makes me wonder, has BioWare incorporated multiplayer into any of its games?  I think BG and NWN / 2 were the only ones, or am I wrong?

Call me a selfish dreamer but I much prefer having the ME universe to myself.
Personally I the multiplayer thing is a bad idea. On a lot of levels.

I hope there is no multiplayer.

But if there is, it should either just be a separate set of co-op missions, or have offline bots.

I would strongly prefer that BW focus all their energies on the single player game, making it the absolute best it can be. I cannot see any ME multiplayer that had the kind of longevity of a Battlefield game, unless it took the MMO route... and that should be saved for a separate full release.

As far as internet connectivity, you know they will retain this for anti-piracy reasons. That said I do hope they release mod tools to the community. This has only ever improved sales, not hurt them.

They just make another ME game thats within the universe and do online with that. But ME3 should not have online play, its not the type of game that makes sense to have online

why all the hate on multiplayer. are mass effect fans some sort of exclusive click that defends a idea that they have no hand in developing story or creating the franchise. why limit bioware from unraveling and trying out new ideas.

All  new ideas, isen't always the best.
BW can learn from the mistakes others have made and not do the same, or the opposite.
Well, I think BW will find the best solution for us as their customers to ensure that we continue to support them.
