No multiplayer in ME3, spin off games are welcomed to do it.

i think the online would be a good idea, but only if it was like on fable where your friends could jump in n out maybe in their own space craft meet up do side quests n stuff share found weapons on explored planets even explore planets together in the same vehicle like the mako from ME 1.

I really hope they do.
Probably the customers they are interested in, are not the ones who post in these forums....
I wish some dev or something from BW just settle this already and tell us what are they going to do.

Oh yes.. i'm sure they're foaming at the mouth just waiting for the chance to charge people for "online passes" on another game.RinpocheSchnozberry wrote...
There will be an online component. Few people are very happy about it, and most of those people are EA goons.

i wouldnt never had said this after playing ME1, but bioware isnt going the same direction i envisioned with the ME series after what we got with ME2. i really dont thnk ME3 will be a great game anyways, so why not include multiplayer. screw it.

If they want a multiplayer element, then do it with a new game set in the same universe.

Yet, if it is implimented into ME3 I have an idea to make it so that a person who doesn't want to multiplayer can avoid doing so.
Maybe a ME2 DLC Style ME3 multiplayer.
But if not....... c'est la vie.

Leave multiplayer out of ME3.
In spinoff games sure but not in the final chapter, thats like if Santa Monica would decide to put multiplayer in GoW 3.

Ok, if a game doesn't sell enough units to justify a sequel, then the sequel doesn't get made in the first place. Mirror's Edge 2 was being worked for quite some time before it got canceled.DustArma wrote...

Well seeing how Mirror' Edge 2 was appearently canceled and one of main the reasons EA named was the lack of multiplayer
Mirror's Edge 2 wasn't cancelled because of "Lack of multiplayer", it was cancelled because it didn't sell enough to justify a sequel in the same way Dead Space did, on top of that EA currently needs as much manpower as possible to work on Battlefield 3 (Mirror's Edge 2 was being developed by DICE).
Don't be spreading bull**** around here as the boards are already filled with enough ignorance for non-rpg stuff as it is.
Also, take a look at this.
“There were issues with the learning curve, the difficulty, the narrative, and then there was no multiplayer either.”
I never said it was the only reason, but the point that they even mentioned this along with what seemed to be bad gameplay issues is what astonished me. It's as if they valued multiplayer just as much as what's really important to the game. Mirror's Edge never really was the kind of game suited for multiplayer, but appearently EA thought it should have been in there regardless.
Mass Effect on the other hand seems even less suited for multiplayer and looking at this topic I don't seem to be the only one who believes this. In my original comment I also gave Bioware the benefit of the doubt though and said that they might make it work afterall, so I really don't get why you jumped at me kije that for mentioning it in the first place.
Now for the reason I dug out this topic in the first place:
I thought about the whole thing once more. I remebered Uncharted 2 and how they handeled multiplayer. That could probably work in ME 3. I still believe ME doesn't NEED multiplayer though.

I wouldn't want the main story to be multiplayer.King Gigglez wrote...
I think that there will be multiplayer for Mass Effect but not on Mass Effect 3, I could see multiplayer being its own special game, or maybe a DLC package or a split disk thing (Main Game on 1/2/3 Discs then a seperate disc for Multiplayer) like with Halo ODST
But I would love, perhaps after endgame, to be able to play with the friends that I made here. Other players controlling a squadmate would be a good way to do that without having multiple Shepards running around out there. So I agree with the King above

A multiplayer for Mass Effect 3 Sounds good. Only if made with the detaills of the first game and the better things of the second. Mix it, and orientate like the Neverwinter Nights 1 Multiplayer. Remember: This game has a lot of people playing at the day, and it had got a lot of years. However, the champing of M.E 3 may be not infravalorated, only give more durability to the game.

And everytime a successful singleplayer game makes an multyplayer option fails. So no is my answer.
