You're not a fan of AC it seems.
I love AC. I just don't like brotherhood. I wanted AC3, not that.

What would the multiplayer aspect even be? I think the idea of someone else's Shepard in my universe is a stupid idea. I also think allowing someone to jump in as one of my squadmates is equally silly. And an online mode where people can make their Shepards fight other Sheps is also ridiculous. Plus, if they did make ME3 multiplayer or online they'd, like so many other games, would spend so much time on that aspect of it that the single player mode would suck. Not all of us like playing online or with others.
Multiplayer does not need to be in every single game, and ME is certainly one of them. People are saying the same thing on the DA2 forums, "why isn't this multiplayer?" Because it isn't, it doesn't fit the game where there is a central character who the story evolves around and whom you make decisions for. If you have two Hawkes or Shepards how does that even work? All of a sudden there were magically two Sheps to save the galaxy? Plus, after two games where you didn't have it, it would mess up the ending significantly. Also, how do you import two different series of decisions into one game?
Multiplayer or online for ME3, no thank you.
And just to chime in, while the multiplayer for AC: Brotherhood was nice and also added a different angle to the plot, I don''t see how they could do that for ME3. What am I to play as a Reaper training to kill everyone? Plus, in my opinion, Brotherhood was a bad watered down version of AC2. (Not that that has anything to do with the multiplayer, I'm just saying.)

AC1 - SP
AC2 - SP
AC3 - SP/MP (Singleplayer was not ruined and the multiplayer is incredibly fun)
Actually it's AC2: Brotherhood. not AC3. And the multiplayer is increadibly fun. Storywise it made sense as well, you were a Templar training to take on the assassins in AC3 "real world"
The Multiplayer in Splinter Cell: Conviction was also very fun and loads better than the other instalments. Pairing up as two Splinter Cells... that were not Sam Fisher to take on a slightly related plot.
That said. I am not in favor of ME3 having multiplayer components. Maybe in the next installment but not in Shepards story. Any addition will undoubtably take away from Single player because of the time neccessary to create it, the space needed to fit it on a disk, the oversight for bugs, etc. Save it for ME4... or better yet... just let us choose a race and RPG that way.
Online will ruin Mass Effect...how?
Dialogue? if it's in mission... can you still interact with NPC's... does that person second person tag along with nothing to do? If it's multiplayer (halo style or whatever) is your voice coming over my headset going to give you the effect of sounding like a Turian or a Quarian... a hanar?! Otherwise it'll break the immersion as they have distinct voice sounds.
Combat? Is a Krogan's regen going to be too much of an advantage? Can a Quarian die of disease if I crack it's faceplate? If I'm a geth can you hack me?... then what I timeout for a little bit? Do I respawn? I've seen squadmates fall down but never respawn.... if they just heal and get back up then "spawncampers" will be a pain in the but.
End of rant because I don't want to go on.

It's single player game, when they have been online games?
I do NOT support MP/CO-OP gameplay in SINGLE PLAYER GAMES.

Blizzard sued modders for wrecking the Match Making system, not playing around with settings in the campaign.Inge Shepard wrote...
How will the new ME 3 be, will it be like ME and ME 2 [Single Player] that you can play without online connections or not?
And how will it be if we modd the game, what happens then? Will we be sued?
Just want to know, because I will modd the new game as well!
Is it Starcraft that have sued the gamemodders? Correct me if I wrong?
You have done a good job with ME and ME2, and all DLC is really good.
Blizzard sued modders that were modding ranks, which was ruining there match making system.
My wish for ME3, is that we can play the game like we do today with ME2 [Single Player]. No online game, if sow, make it a free option.
Best of luck with your developing.
