Eh, this seems like the right forum section for this.

So, I'm playing Mass Effect 2 at my friend's right now and I was wondering what determines getting the renegade eyes? I mean the full no-pupil red glowing ones.  I've tried having renegade score of 100 to 1000 and the only thing I get is scars. My eyes only get a small hint of red in them. I remember having a character with red eyes (not glowing, and had a pupil) once but that's the most.

When I tried the renegade, I tried taking out all paragon points too, no difference. My character also has "talented" fully to the paragon/renegade + 100% skill. Is his game bugged or how does it work? Any response would be great, thank you. :)

I have no idea, I just assumed if your renegade was full then it'd happen. Perhaps if it is countered by Paragon then it doesn't?

Alternatively did you get the Med-Bay upgrade?

most likely pc mods. console gamers always get left behind when it comes to most all changes or tweaks to original game

You just need to be more renegade I believe. Or its the just the angle that makes the light seem more red, perhaps.

I believe your renegade level is determined by how many renegade points you have versus the number of renegade points you could have achieved based on your progress through the game. So if you're 300 renegade and 200 paragon then you are far less renegade that someone who is 200 renegade, 0 paragon.

Further, I think your rengade choices take into account your all opportunities. So if you're 300 renegade, 200 paragon and 100 missed points (neutral or skipped responses) then you might not be able to get a renegade red response choice while someone who is 300 renegade, 200 paragon and 0 missed points could.

Not positive it works exactly that way but if I'm wrong someone will jump all over me soon. :-)

Heh, well I'm on a PC so I guess I should find a way to get that mod. Somehow get the eyes with GFF editor. I think the best way to do that would be to have a savegame with those eyes and then copy the values. I'll try that at Masseffectsaves.

Also yeah, I've tried playing around with the paragon and renegade scores. It seems even if I have full paragon + renegade I have the scars + normal eyes. I think this might fall into his game being bugged.

Maybe once I buy my own it'll work, eh. Thanks everyone for responding. Also no I don't have the medibay update.

If I remember correctly you have to have over half your Renegade meter full before your eyes clearly turn red. From the top of my head that means you'll need 750 pts.

Before that you'll have a little red glint in your eyes.

I have had the full red renegade eyes and any sort of paragon takes them away. Leaving more of a redish hint. Need to take the complete step to dark side and not look back to keep them.

I think this might be correct.

I've had Renegades with some Paragon before and they've had normal (mostly) eyes.

Full Renegade (almost no Paragon) had the Terminator eyes.

I don't intend to hijack the thread, but can anybody give me a link to a tutorial in which how to change Sheploo's appearance ( eyes, hair etc.) is explained?

Heh, yes. Even in my renegade playthroughs I go atleast a bit neutral. Being an ass is fine, but being a racist ass is not really my thing. I imported some full renegade saves from masseffectsaves. None of them had red eyes, just red scars. It's with my friend's computer as I suspected then.

I used the GFF editor to make my eyes red, glowing and illusive-man eye'd. Looks exactly like the "true renegade" eyes I suppose. If someone is interested in how then feel free to ask and I'll tell you.

Also, Confused_Shepard, I believe there's a 360 mass effect 2 modding thread here in the forums. If I remember correctly, it has the same capabilities (atleast nearly) as the PC modding. Dunno how it works, but if you're interested search for it in Google or here in the forums.

Dexi, erm I don't think Sheploo head can be edited beyond renegade scars. His head is a morph itself and it prevents all editing even with GFF editor. I might be wrong if there is some new thing that can do that. But I haven't heard of anything like that.

Well, I saw Sheps with TIM's eyes, NPC's facial hair and hairstyles... That's why I'm asking.

Well, yes, but were those Sheps the default face? I thought that was what you meant with Sheploo. If you mean custom face, then yeah it's easy to edit those.

Here are some basics about it. I have no idea of NPC facial hair or male hairstyles though.

Gibbed editor is the way to go for PC or 360. There is a version for both

I was curious about this as well and so I tracked it as well as I could and...

As I remember, my Renegon that I finished a few weeks ago end up with full Renegade and about 2.5 bars of Paragon. He was also imported from ME1 with a giant Renegade bonus. But you don't start with the glowing eyes, it wasn't until I had at least 2 full bars Renegade that the eyes went red. The scars get worse first, then the eyes. At the point it first happened, I had almost no Paragon.

When I got to 3 full bars of Renegade, I got my second full bar of Paragon shortly thereafter, and my eyes reverted. At that point, I took absolutely no Paragon actions unless I *absolutely* could not fit a netural or Renegade response into my character. And so I only got about half a bar more of Paragon (stupid Tali needing hugs) and shortly after my Renegade was full again, the eyes went red again.

So, that was my experience anyway. That seems a bit rambly now that I look at it but there you go.

You gotta push people up against the wall, point a pistol at them, and mildly swear at them a bit.

mmm... even trying a full renegade run, getting some paragon points here and there is not avoidable though, is it??
