Notice that Bethany doesn't seam to be a companion during the beginning of the game.

It looks too sci-fi.
I think I'll just stick to playing through DAO a million times. They've deviated too much from my taste. I loved the stereotypical medieval fantasy setting.
I've seen some crazy posts in my day but.. What?

Post-apocalyptic setting was the standard for fantasy pre-Tolkien. See Howard, Ashton Smith, Vance, or Moorcock.
The "Tolkien with a twist" was what I did not like about Origins. Did we really have to have dwarves and elves? Just because the tropes were subverted does not make them okay. Even the epic fantasy novels outgrew Tolkien races in the 90s.

1: It is post apocalyptic in a way. The blighted lands are tainted and barren. That's not the entire game though, it's one level.Riloux wrote...

2: Really? You don't think Origins powers looked at all like lasers? My awakening mage casts repulsion field, elemental chaos, and draining aura then runs around like some sort of disco doombringer...

Right, because anyone who doesn't absolutely love those screenshots clearly is just a whiner.

Hate to break it to you, but Elves and "dwarfs" existed in german folklore centuries before Tolkein's great-great grandfather was even born. (and they even had the exact same features)

I hate the new art style. Absolutely despise it. The HUD, the colour scheme, the health bars..... ugh *facepalm*
.
The health bars are red, the magic bars are light blue, and the stamina bars are yellow. their just bigger than in orgins, and not around the characters picture so your actually able to see them easily.
I don't really see a problem

I have absolutely nothing bad to say against Dragon Age 2 at all. Everything is just dandy.
*grabs popcorn*
Awesome pictures by the way. Nice find. But the more I see of the game, the more I think: "Oh my god, I gotta decide on a class soon. Crap."

I. . .kinda hope the visual effect of whatever ability Hawke's using will look less like, um, micturition when I actually play the game.
Just so you know, I feel horrible for noticing this too.

Maybe we're going to space in Isacc's suit.
