Yeah, disliking the art style is all well and good but I can't see anything about the graphics in these screenshots that isn't much improved.

Please. They have rose-tinted pupils when it comes to Origins. It's pretty hilarious.

Those glasses were included only with every 5th pre-order that was done on the 2nd Wednesday of every other month. I didn't get them either.

OT: I really like the way DA2 looks and am excited for the game.

It amazes me that people will actually decide that a game is not worth buying because it's not pretty enough for their delicate tastes. Does anyone even care about waiting to find out if the gameplay is good or not anymore?



On topic, the new look for Fireball is pretty awesome. It might give lightning spells competition for my favorite in looks.

Don't be silly. Haven't you heard all games need to have massively high resolution textures, look like an action movie... Oh, that and a fast moving plot so that any ADD sufferers don't get bored.

Oh wait, we're talking about an RPG? Ok, never mind none of the above applies.

Most people aren't playing RPGs for the graphics. Sure, pretty grapics are nice - but most people are playing them for the story not because they look good.

Well, if she's attacking a pile of rubble on the ground I suppose she's still swinging at air, then, unless she's aiming downward or the rubble is floating.

Or she is possibly in the middle of a swing? Either she just hit it or is in the process of hitting it again? There's just not enough information to be extrapolated from this one screenshot to say that the combat animations are horrible or worse than Origins or whatever.

I like the screenshots, it looks better of Origins on console. In my opinion the screen where Hawke is fighting in solo mode is the part of the exagerate part.

They look fine I'm sure it is better once your really playing. I don't play games for there graphics but I will admit these are somewhat outdated, Even then I still like the art style.

It looks marginally better than origins in regard to art design. I think it still suffers from low res issues.  It's clear by now DA2 isn't going to compete with other AAA releases when it comes to graphics.

I think the thing that upsets me most in those pics is the completely non-functional armor the blight guys are wearing, I'm sorry but they might as well run around naked with all those holes in their armor, I mean seriously  THE AUXILLARY IS VULNERBLE WHAT'S THE POINT?  And their backs are bare, what if they got flanked by archers?

Sorry for the rage, I take my armor seriously.

Edit: Well, at least they have armor for their thighs.

Yeah.. Graphics are always low at my list of priorities when it comes to gaming. I mean I still think Baldur's Gate is perfect despite the old graphics.

The Darkspawn? They're mindless, it seems more like them to take bits and pieces of armor and use them instead of having armor that looks like they spent time equipping (because they had the same models as everybody else, they had to have normal armor).
