Yep! <3I particulary like what they've done. Sure they are not the craziest graphics I've seen, but i like them nonetheless.

I never said it was the end of the world, It's still better looking than Dao1 especially for the consoles (I'm a console) but it just isn't much better. In my opinion.

Graphics look awesome! I'm really impressed by amount of details on rogue armour and characters overall.

You don't necessarily have to hate them or like them, you just make a comparison between what they promised (much better graphics from Dao1) and then say "It's much better looking than Dao1" Or "It's not much better looking than Dao1". To me it looks like an incremental improvement expected from most games that have sequels and not actually much better, just the expected amount in comparison to other games, Dao1 was not a looker on anything but the Pc, but it has changed from 'ugly' to 'meh' but in comparison to time from 2 years ago it's now 'ugly' again.

Bioware games have never been the most up to date graphically, dunno why you would expect anything different now. Anything the devs say is what the marketers have told them to say and as has been pretty well established the marketing sucks or is totally aimed at the casual console gamer market.

The fact that the game looks better than DAO, and more to the point has a  better colour palette and looks prettier is good enough, and as has been said it is a good idea to wait until it can be viewed on a hi res DX11 system before really making comparisons.

I am defiantely liking the rogue armor. Definately a step up in that regards to origins as DAO light armor didn't look IMO, and I couldn't ring myself to use any of the heavier armors. In fact all armor seems to have been improved upon. On a third but related note Bioware definately seems to have kept its promise of improved graphic, not the best but still good.

Than you start playing .... and you don't see those super beautiful moment with super beautiful background.
But you notice the ugly texture and the poor animation.

The question isn't "Does DA2 have state of the art graphics" because that answer would be, no, not really.  

The question is "Does DA2 have better graphics than DAO" and I think the answer is, rather obviously, yes.

Last gen? Like, PS2 and XBox?

I think DA2 looks fine and better than DAO. Does it have the best graphics ever in all of history? No. But really, saying DAO looks better and posting screencaps from it running on high-end PCs with the highest settings and saying how good it looks compared to a handful of screenshots from DA2 that are either a) from a console, from old builds from six months ago, c) very small and saved at poor quality or d) all of the above is disingenuous and just trying to justify your dislike using poor comparisons.

From what I've seen so far, I'd say they're about on par, can't see anything suggesting DAII gfx are better than DAO's.

I don't why some people seem to be picking at what's negative about the graphics or anything else. Does that make you feel any better? No, it most likely makes whoever feels this way feel worse. Why not focus on what looks amazing about the game? I personally think the game is looking pretty incredible! Am I the only one hyperventilating? :-)

Might be the ground-textures being more detailed.
