The deeproads look a lot better; sinister, but with little accents of colour that save them from being too dreary. The ones in DAO were a bit claustrophobic, and had little else going for them past the element of surprise in the first playthrough. Ugh, all those copy-paste caves.
Also: ROGUE WHY YOU GOTTA BE MY SECOND PLAYTHROUGH? I want that armor nooow~

I want that pc interface face back. I truly do not like the new interface with the gigantic fade away map and neon colored health bars.
I just don't understand. If you have done something well the first time. KEEP IT THAT WAY.
The DA:O interface is second only to the original Assassin's Creed on the list of "crappy user interfaces for people with color blindness".

The color palette is much less dull and the game is far more detailed. I am liking it, BioWare.

Imagine it as using 3 colours without mixing to use on all objects and a palette using all that those 3 colours can offer. Plastic vs photo-real.
Plus there is no smooth transition between objects. The rocks and whatever does not look like coming from the ground. They look like cardboard cut-outs placed on the ground - sharp edges/sides at the foundation. Like I said - sterile.

errr...why do the enviroments look so sterile? It looks as if matemathical and methodic placement...every stone placed with a hand of the Great Architect himself.
They're the Blightlands. Duh. What did you expect them to be, a David Bowie concert stage?

Now that I do see. I'm not sure Origins was any better, though.

like the obelisks in the stone wraith pics? that's simply poor level design.

Nice shots, though I'd like them more if the zweihander actually looked like a real two-handed sword. Which, by the way, are awesome-looking.

But - there are no hands on the hilt of the sword. The sword is tilted down, towards the front of the photo. This would imply Hawke is jumping away from the enemy, sword raised and angled down for an overhead strike. But - why jump away from the enemy?
This is a very confusing shot.

I had to google that. And having done so . . . . well, that's a problem then.

I kind of like having blue/green/grey/purple/black darkspawn instead. These new skin colours make the darkspawn look too close to humans. But I guess Bioware's vision since "the children" were to make disgusting enemies instead of fantastic or badass ones.
Maybe that's the point? They did say they wanted the darkspawn to look vaguely like the diseased versions of their human/elven/dwarven/qunari counterparts.
