Hello all,

My build is mainly a shape shifting druid. I have a question however about shapeshifting. What transistions over exactly in terms of what armor/weapons you are carrying. For example, if I have a stronger weapon, or the weapon has +1d4 lightning damage, will this stick if I morph? Or enchantment bonuses (aka Scimitar +3 lets say). What about anything special, like ++ to saves on weapons or armor?

For armor, how does this work? Is it only AC that gets transistioned over for Helmet/Shield/Main Armor.. Do enchantments have an effect, if so how?

I found little information about ARMOR and shapeshifting, but not about abilties and such but not about weapons and other things. My guess though is that they don't transistion over, but I wanted to make sure and clarify it with the pros ;)

Thanks!

i'm no expert on this and haven't the greatness of Druid Shapeshifter yet,

but someday I will. So if you're not aware of CuteUnit's implementation .. i can say I have it installed and waiting

ps. beware of duplicate files in Override

According to the rules, none of your equipment sticks. Spells effects should. But I rarely play druids so I have no idea how it's implemented in NWN2.

Kaedrin developed a lot of code that preserves your polymorph, i am using most of his fixes, not sure how much cute unit adds to that but i know his implementation solves far more issues than i could list via merges and spell effects. Add into that the PRC's and feats he adds which relate to druids you just can't go wrong. Pretty sure he has options to adjust how much will merge.

The way it works without some modification is not how it works in the real rules - well it seems like it if you don't look at it, but you end up losing all your memorized spells, especially if you export your character or save, you'll notice your AC which makes sense drops substantially. Using kaedrins i know fixes most of these issues, so i'd say you have to use something.
