Perhaps ME3 can begin with a certain asari matriarch recounting the story of Shepard to the newest human Spectre, and the beginning of her tale is *slightly* exaggerated, as it has Shepard flattening entire armies and detonating Reapers with a single punch.

"Bulls**t! That's not what really happened!"

:lol:

A sobering account of true human patriotism. (Yes, it is fan fiction.)

Humanity, f*ck yeah threads... its like masturbation at this point.

Carl sagan said pretty words, but for the most part we mostly strive to destroy eachother.

Humanity on the whole blows, we need at least 90% of the population to die off before we really have any chance for sustained survival. You can try and place value on a human life, but like the U.S. dollar, it only has the value you give it.

In the words of Shakespeare's Hamlet's

"What a piece of worke is a man! how Noble in
Reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving
how express and admirable! in Action, how like an Angel!
in apprehension, how like a God?"

Mine eyes have seen the orgy of the launching of the Sword;
He is searching out the hoardings where the stranger's wealth is stored;
He hath loosed his fateful lightnings, and with woe and death has scored;
His lust is marching on.

I have seen him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps;
They have builded him an altar in the Eastern dews and damps;
I have read his doomful mission by the dim and flaring lamps—
His night is marching on.

I have read his bandit gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:
"As ye deal with my pretensions, so with you my wrath shall deal;
Let the faithless son of Freedom crush the patriot with his heel;
Lo, Greed is marching on!"

We have legalized the strumpet and are guarding her retreat;*
Greed is seeking out commercial souls before his judgement seat;
O, be swift, ye clods, to answer him! be jubilant my feet!
Our god is marching on!

In a sordid slime harmonious Greed was born in yonder ditch,
With a longing in his bosom—and for others' goods an itch.
As Christ died to make men holy, let men die to make us rich—
Our god is marching on.

“Maybe you’re right. Maybe we can’t win this. But we will fight you regardless, just like we did Sovereign. Just like I’m doing now. Yes, people will die. Maybe we’ll lose half the galaxy. Maybe more. But I will do whatever it takes to rid the galaxy of the Reaper threat! However “insignificant” we might be. We will fight, we will sacrifice and we will find a way. That’s what humans do.”

Guess the Arrival DLC was good for something.:unsure:

What words you are will select to convince those who have lived millions of years to leave us alone?

Renegade. You say: You do not stand against the united fleet of the galaxy, you can not defeat us. Think, whether you need to risk their existence, because we will fight to the last drop of blood. We will fight to the death and in the end we will destroy you all.

They think yes - it was a powerful speech, he was not joking, perhaps we need get lost.

Paragon. You say: Look, all galactic races united in the fight with you, we all have one goal, but this goal is not destruction. You want harvesting us, but thinking, you will get more than will lose in a battle with us? What do you will achieve? Give up, while you can and you can leave in peace.

They think so - our goal, which we have followed of millions of years is negligible, we will find another ways.

For a powerful speech -- Human Patriots

Oh please. Humanity has only gotten better

In the past centuries alone we made progress that people decades ago thought were impossible

And kill 90%? Give me a break. If we destroy the planet, we'll just move to another one

It's hilarious, today, for us to read through this and laugh at the deluded twits who must have watched, slack-jawed, as their precious Cerberus was turned into plot clay and their wet dreams of HUMAN STRONG dashed into the ground.

I miss those days.
