Yeah, definitely not DAII's Hawke, but I'm surprised you remembered at all!

I don't know. They redesigned Isabela.

Second, why are you surprised I remembered him at all?

He was only in it for a single side-quest and the leader of the bandits only said his name twice. It was sharp of you to remember it.

I doubt it's the same person as the name is spelled differently (hardly conclusive, I know), and at this point I think Hawke would already be in Kirkwall given that Awakening is set at least six months after the ending of Origins and he fled from Lothering before the Blight reached it.

Source? Your statistics hold no credence if you don't source your claims. I'm sure most Dragon Age players have tried more than 2 origins, at least.

I believe Gaider or Lailaw confirmed this ona a thread.  The thread was about how many people played non-humans in DA:O, but it's buried somewhere and i can't find it.

It was Gaider. Someone really should put that stuff in the wiki someday.

Here's the thread link, and the relevant quote

As for the figures we have, our telemetry is able to break down unique accounts that play the game more than once or restart-- and the figures I quoted for DAO are the number of unique accounts that ever played an origin, whether it was all the way to the end or not. I'm not going to start rattling off figures (since I don't have them in front of me, and wouldn't be at liberty to start handing them out even if they were) but I do recall the dwarven origins being 5% of the total (3% dwarf noble, 2% dwarf commoner). The elven figure was higher, but still a fair distance from the human noble and human mage.

We are still forgetting something. "Hawk", possibly a first name, I might be wrong though. "Hawke", is the last name. Notice something that is missing?

This, there's enough reasonable doubt to conclude that this person was not Hawke from DA2.

Flemeth is all but comfirmed to be the most important person in these games...of course they bring over Flemeth again...reuseing Isabella was simply the writers wishing to expand an NPC into a deeper NPC...aside from that she already had established ties to the Free Marches even in DAO so it worked out...but I can assure you without doubt Hawke does not exsist in any previous installment.

I'm so glad Bioware gets to do exactly what they want with their franchise, but I find it an odd curiosity that they'd chose to run it into the ground. While it's pretty integral to their beliefs of telling a story, it just seems to me that they don't want the series to sell. Fine by me, I'll see how the demo plays.

Well imo it's pathetic to throw around accusations at things that have already been proven false by the developers.

Anyone with half a brain would know you are wrong. Some guy named Hawk appeared, who looked absolutely nothing like Garret.

What a stupid thing to say.

Oh you must have spoken to the wrong psychic because the one I spoke to told me Dragon AGe 2 will be a huge success.

Not on this website, but pretty much every other gaming forum, this is the consensus, there is way more negativity for the changes than there is for people praising it, people are laughing at how bad the game looks, hopefully there will be some redemption for DA3, if there is one.

So pointing them in the right direction to the "what we know so far thread" might have been a better suggestion than just telling someone to leave if they dont know or dislike some of the games new directions.

There are too many people on here quick to dismiss peoples concerns about a game that the loved, and not every concern of his was false.

Don't mean nothing to me...because I have no problems what so ever with they are doing...in fact I think it's better in every way. I also find it sad people basicly want the exact same game every single time forever...personaly if DA2 was exactly the same I would avoid DA3 due to the boreing repitition. If ME2 is any indicator the game will be met with financial success out the yin yang. Cuz no matter how you slice it ME2 was one the greatest financial success in recent memory.

Right, I'm sure you can prove that.

Here, let me prove my point: You see the poll on this website?

Dragon Age 2 Will Be ...[*]Amazing! (67%, 3,810 Votes)[*]Don't know yet (18%, 1,028 Votes)[*]A decent game (8%, 479 Votes)[*]"§$%&! (4%, 228 Votes)[*]Awful (3%, 168 Votes)[/list]
Total Voters: 5,713

This website isn't "We love Dragon Age II so much!". It's for all fans. So, I'm not really seeing a consensus with your theory.
