And about Varric describing the scene- I'm pretty sure it is Cassandra doing it to Varric to get more stories out of him.

I really hope the sex scenes aren't ME2 style fade to black. Or DA:O style underwear frottage, for that matter. ME1 really had the best sex scenes. They were VERY classy while being fairly explicit, and there was an intimacy and personalness to them that really made it feel like the characters cared about each other. DA:O was just creepy, and ME2 was so ... I don't know. tepid.
