 Hi,

I am in New Zealand. Unknowingly I purchased an import copy of ME2 for PS3 (manufactured in Singapore) - I bought it online from our ebay equivalent, trademe.co.nz, from a local supplier - and my cerberus code didn't work. I contacted EA and they generated another one for me. This one also didn't work, so they generated another one.

STILL NOT WORKING. F************** PSN, but I blame you guys. Why isn't all this content just on the bloody disc, I have actually already bought all the DLC for my windows version and I can't use that either!

It always just says 'Code not valid, or no longer in use.... ' etc etc


What the hell guys! Are you so damn cheap that you don't want people to resell the game? You have made a fortune from this franchise and justifiably so, it is my favourite game ever, but I want to let the rest of my family play it on our PS3 and now they can't play it because there is no comic book to make decisions and none of the extra content I paid for!

I have been through the hoops of emailing EA support a picture of the box with my signature on it etc etc but I want a solution NOW. Contact me with some way around this nonsense in private if you have to but this is bloody shameful and unacceptable.

I am very upset and rightly so.

Any and all codes to be used on PSN are region-locked... Obviously, the Asia version (Singapore) code wouldn't work.

Did you told EA Support to give you a code specifically for New Zealand?

You are absolutely right. This was the problem indeed. I am not that PSN-savvy - but I did actually try creating a Singapore PSN account and entering the new code that EA gave me and that didn't work.



And then I went back and tried the original cerberus code with the Singapore PSN acct, just as a last-ditch attempt........ and it worked.



I just assumed that EA would have deleted the codes I said weren't working! And I just assumed they would know the region since I provided my PSN account details and that would have the region info, and I did say I was in New Zealand in the chat I think but I wasn't ultra-specific as I didn't know it mattered. But go figure!

So I should apologise to Bioware because technically it isn't their fault.



Though I do hate these online registration things they cause so many headaches when you just want to play your game. I am guessing it is an EA mandate, but I should say it is upsetting particularly in this case because my Windows copy of ME2 cerberus code didn't work either. I had to pay for Zaeed, and like I said I have already purchased all the DLC for the Windows version, it sucks how you can't use these things across platforms, it really isn't that big of a deal, is it?



But the main thing is that it's working and I want to re-affirm that ME2 is my favourite game ever and I have no fault with the games Bioware make! Can't wait for DA2 either.
