Was anyone else really freaked out by the Noveria mission in ME1? Before i found out what the thing infesting the facility actually was, i was pretty twitchy and nervous. It probably has something to do with my fear of movies on viruses in derelict locations (Virus, anyone?) or the general fear of the unknown. After my first playthrough, I saved Noveria for last because i REALLY didnt want to do it.
Was it like this for anyone else?

My first playthrough on Noveria...I believe I got dominated by the Rachni just over and over again... for some reason I could never dodge their little acid spitty-attack, and the workers just blew up and it was all sorts of bad.

I loved the Station 15 part of Noveria but in replays I tend to save it for just before Virmire but that's down to the IMO dullness of the "need a garage key" part. In more direct relation to what you asked though, I remember on my 2nd and 3rd playthrough of Noveria I was always on edge going around the station as in my memory, there were a LOT more bugs jumping out of nowhere than there actually are. I still to this day THINK I remember there being one in a lift. I know there isn't but it's a memory (albeit a false one) that I just can't shake. They did a good job with that section IMO, as far as suspense goes.

I failed to feel fear there, sadly.

First time I played Noveria, I was 15, during the summer, 4am, in my basement, everything dark. Mira's warnings were freaking me the F*** out. (I have this weird thing where I get creeped out by disembodied tech voices telling me there's danger). Needless to say, Peak 15 is my least favorite mission on ME1. That and I have the most difficult time dealing with Benezia and her commandos. especially when im not playing a Soldier/Infilatrator.

Peak 15 reminded me of the movies Alien and Aliens... with better lighting. Loved it loved it loved it.
It did freak me out the first time I played that mission. Several times the bugs just popped out of the floor and I was like, yaaaa-aaa. Good times. Hmmm... maybe I should go get the latest Resident Evil?

Actually I found this mission very entertaining, it is the most dungeounesque assignment you get in ME1 and I really liked the whole layout. First putting up with bureaucrats and then, after all the bickering with your frustration close to getting annoyed, finally things to shoot at. It was nice!

I'm playing Noveria for the first time now. I'm stuck because I can't get through a door due to not having high enough electronics skill. Anyone know a way around this?

Uhm, you can't get stuck anywhere in this due to lack of skills (other than being bad at playing the game that is of course).

I think I know what you are talking about. Is it where the Mira tells you about the 'Loose Contaminants'? If so, just tell Mira to open the doors anyway, and she will, you just have to kill some more RachniDemonhoopa wrote...
