Depending on who you ask, yes. I have seen "Neverwinter Nights", "Jade Empire", "Mass Effect", "Sonic Chronicles", and "Baldur's Gate" all cited as bad; or at the very least mediocre BioWare games. I thought "Mass Effect" was the worst game they made among those I played, but despite that I hesitate to label it bad.

Since this thread has nothing to do with DA2, it will probably be locked or moved to Off Topic.

Well... I've played all the DA's, ME's, NWN's, BG's and Jade Empire, and all I can say for certain is that none of those are bad. :)

It all comes down to preference, but having played ever Bioware game ever to come out, the answer is yes. After all Bioware aren't some developing gods who can't make mistake. Though I only ever saw this one game as a bad bioware game:
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood  <_<

I hated that game, soooooo much.

Ugh, you ever played that Dragon Age: Origins game? Awful.

Eh. Tough question. None of their games I'd call entirely bad, but some have had problems..

Mainly, Mass Effect 2 was, on the whole, not as good as it could have been, mainly for how the ME universe was handled, and how the main plot missions (I.E. non-companion stuff) were done.

Bad? Maybe not. A disappointment? Yes. NWN was a tremendous letdown after BG2. Poor UI, boring OC and a toolset that wasn't as friendly as it easily could have been.

I never really understood why mass effect 2 gained so much praise, I thought it was incredibly mundane.

It's a thng of taste. I found neverwinter nights subpar, for example.

I haven't played everything, but of the stuff I have, both Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal and the original Neverwinter Nights campaign were disappointing. Throne of Bhaal was extremely linear, the combat quickly became dull and the storyline just wasn't nearly as satisfying as the game it was attached to. (Also, it had the Aerie pregnancy plot. *shudders*)

As for NWN: the original single player campaign was tedious, the user interface was awful, and you could only have one barely-controllable henchman in your party. After the Baldur's Gate series, this was not an improvement. Also, I wanted to punch Aribeth in the face repeatedly almost from the moment I met her. (Luckily, since my main character was a monk, I eventually got to do just that!) The expansions and toolset redeemed NWN to some extent, although they did nothing to lessen my desire to punch Aribeth.

Never played many of the original games, in fact I don't know if I played KOTOR first or NWN2. Loved KOTOR, came to loathe NVN2 though. Seemed incomplete, and in many cases just confusing. The only redeeming part about that game was after becoming a squire and saying something like "I live to serve neverwinter.... as of last night".

NWN2 is an Obsidian developed RPG.

"Good" and "bad" are so often subjective issues, but I found the total absence of QA in Awakening to be serious enough to class it as "bad" even though as a game I actually quite enjoyed it.

Awakening has issues still left unfixed.

That expanison pack was a huge letdown. Their DA:O DLC hiccups hurt their credibility aswell.

I think NWN1, KOTOR1 and ME1 were pretty bad.

Yeah, I think I expected a bit more from the "three years' worth of expansions" or however it was originally sold: they shouldn't make promises they couldn't (or wouldn't) keep, but I think especially with Awakening's extremely poor QA and after-sales support, there's not really any excuse.  I think their "digital content is the future!" approach has lost pretty much all credibility for this and other reasons; there were a few high-points but overall I think that this is Bioware's main "bad game" territory.

Sonic Chronicles did not feel like a proper Sonic game... being a Sonic fan... I didn't enjoy it.

Neverwinter Nights had some story flow points that I didn't like often. It is not that I am hung up on Elder Scrolls sort of free roam sort of story... I am definitely not. I like some more structure. NWN just didn't have an overall good flow to me, and I got bored of it quickly. It took me multiple playthroughs of Balders Gate and Dragon Age games to get to that same point.

For some reason, I have held off a bit on Mass Effect. I haven't played it because it seemed more like a shooter before. I am not into shooters. From some of the feedback I've been reading, I think I may pick up the games at some point and play them.

I think Sonic Chronicles was their worst reviewed game with a Metacritic score of 74. I've never played it, but of all the other games they've made, and I've played, they have never made a bad game. BioWare is my favorite developer.

If it's a BioWare game then I know it's going to meet my gaming needs.

Well, no one can say something that works for everyone since it's too personal.

I never played any BW game aside from the ME and DA franchise, but, as far as I can tell, they are awesome.

I'm hesitant to say that NWN or BG1 are "bad" games, as I bought them and put a lot of time into trying to enjoy them...

and many, many people really like them.

But if you asked me which BioWare games didn't entertain me, that I didn't enjoy...

I'll say Neverwinter Nights. BG I enjoyed somewhat.

I wasn't so keen on Jade Empire. The controls for combat are stiff as hell. You can only perform a single attack, It';s very repetative in that aspect. And the last boss is pathetic. The story is decent enough but the side quests are really half assed.

A lot of people like it though so i guess it can't suck that much. I guess on the X Box it didn';t have much competition so was good. I played on PC so i guess i had already played much better games.
